Alright, here's how I see the RPG Frontier situation:
Icarus is dead, I'm going to archive it in a couple of days unless anyone objects with something I can use. Arsencia will pick up again in a bit, I've got it all planned out, I just needed my people around. With Copa on holiday and FZM having so little time at the moment, I was struggling to push it forward, but we should be OK now. Salvation's Anemia will get moving soon enough, I have faith in Ravnin to see to that. WoW is probably finished, because Nowe doesn't seem to be in the mood to revisit his old hunting grounds and without him it can't go anywhere. Apocalypse will get moving once FZM gets his time issues sorted, and until then I'm going to do my best to push it along for him.
The good news is that Mike is planning to start a Lord of the Rings RP here in a few days or so, and he has most of the BfME guys backing him on that.
It's in here. The other hopefully good news is that, with Icarus ending, I'm intending to see what kind of reaction I can generate for my old idea of a Victorian gothic steampunk RP.
Here's the original thread. Anyway, if I can get that off the ground, hopefully some new blood from the BfME posse and maybe a couple of other lurkers from around Revora and the internet in general will see the Frontier back on solid ground. We'll just have to wait it out, I think.
At the risk of jinxing this RP, I'd suggest calling it Chronicles of the Forgotten. It's a good title, and it's far more suitable for this than it ever was for the original of that name. My advice to you, Jenkins, is to come up with a storyline and a background. For example, we could be a recon team sent to discover whether or not new worlds are habitable for mankind, and we (as members of the team) are forced to make an emergency landing on this planet, wrecking our ship. We then have to go on a mission to somewhere to try and find something to help us get off the planet, or something else, I leave that up to you. However, I can guarantee you that leaving it up to the players what happens and who we meet will get this RP canned in days. Leading an RPG has to be a hands-on kind of thing, or nobody will pay enough attention to push it forward. As Copaman is so fond of saying, this is as much roleplaying as collaborative storytelling. There has to be a story or it can't work.
I hope I am a good enough writer that some day dwarves kill me and drink my blood for wisdom.
