I have come up with an idea when it comes to adding to 'the library'.

What about we all agree to set it up so that to add a new 'storyline' to the library, we must have 3 votes.

That way it doesn't a massively long list of everything anyone thinks of, or a huge list of things onyl one person even knows about. You have to get the support of two other members for your suggestion to be included.

We can keep what the list is now for convenience sake(unless we want to go back through and see which ones get 3 votes), but any new ones need to have the support of 3 members for them to be added in.

(maybe a new sub forum for suggesting new additions should be set up here? or not?)

Now, im gonna make some more suggestions
-Command and Conquer series storyline
-C&C Red Alert series storyline(if you count that as separate...)
-David Gemmel's Drenai
-and Rigante series'
-and Dark Moon (stand-alone book)
-Dune(it just feels like it should be in there...)
-Team Fortress 2 (not much by way of storyline, but they are rather amusing characters, i just want them in for a cameo type appearance )


So, by my rule suggestion, all of these would need support from atleast 2 other members... so two of you get in here and support them

I support for the addition of David Gemmell's Drenia series, mostly because I am fully intending to use one of his characters. And Dune should totally be in there, although I recommend nobody try to RP as a sandworm.

Anyway, for those of you who, like SWG and I, are familiar with David Gemmell's works, I hereby shotgun the rights to Regnak the Wanderer, Earl of Bronze, the best character ever.

ith, add in Dark Moon, its got heaps of awesomeness in it. With Tarantio and his inner demon/split personality Dace, and the Deroth which are also awesome (and would make cool bad guys).

Hey, im wondering, with all this mix of stories, will this mean that all the swordsmen and stuff will have to take up guns instead or face being killed before they can get close enough to do anything? i mean, in one story someone might be pure awesomeness, but place them up against enemies from the future with force fields and projectile or energy weapons and they wont really stand a chance...

It's all part of your task as an RPer. And no, I haven't read Dark Moon. The only standalone book of his I've read is Knights Of Dark Renown, which I liked but was simultaneously extremely irritated by, because pretty much every single character was named after a British mythological figure. Even more so than in the Rigante novels. And I considered using Waylander, but decided against it. Rek just has so much more character-development potential, seeing as he's only in one book, whereas Waylander has three dedicated tales of his own and numerous references. Rek only gets a mention in The King Beyond The Gate, and that's it. Trust me, I know my Drenai books.

Actually, the swordsmen may be balanced out by magic, armor donations, etc.

Thats one of the reasons i suggested maybe separating the things a bit back when i thought you were bring the whole stories 'universes' through. Its quite a predicament...

SWG, surprise attacks mean instant death. I don't care that Darth Vader has crazy armor, a lightsaber, and can force choke me - if I sneak up behind him and snap his neck, he's dead. It's the one universal trump card

Oh, and another one, The Underland Chronicles by Suzanne Collins. It might be a children's book, and you all seem to be adults or close to it, but I find it extremely impressive and believe it should be given a try.

You cant always surprise attack a bad guy.
Especially when he would have like a whole army as escort.

Also, you wouldn't be able to sneak up on darth vader, he would know you were there because of his *jedi/sith force powers*
