Episode I: The Phantom Menace

The first installment to the Star Wars saga, The Phantom Menace starts when Qui-Gon Jinn and Obi-Wan Kenobi arrive at a blockaded Naboo. The Jedi had come to negotiate a treaty with the Neimoidians, so as to lift the blockade. However the Neimodians attempt to kill the Jedi. Obi-Wan and Qui-Gon both escape to the surface of Naboo. Qui-Gon saves the life of Jar Jar, who leads the Jedi to a underwater city. After leaving the underwater city in a sub, the trio (Qui-Gon, Obi-Wan, and Jar Jar) go through the core of Naboo, and head toward Theed. At Theed, the Jedi rescue Queen Amidala, who leads them to a hanger bay. Here, they take a ship and run the Trade Federation Blockade. However, during their escape, the ship is damaged, forcing them to land on Tatooine. There, a slave boy, Anakin Skywalker, chooses to race a dangerous race to earn them a new hyperdrive. Anakin also earns his freedom. The group then completes the journey to Coruscant. Here, Anakin is refused Jedi training by the Council and, after a time, they leave Coruscant and return to Naboo, heading towards a remote area where they can pass the Blockade without trouble. Here, Amidala requests the aid of the Gungans, and decides on a plan of attack. Jar Jar and the Gungans hold off the Droid army in a large plain. The Queen, Anakin, and the Jedi go to Theed. In the hanger, Anakin hides in a starfighter, the Queen leads a group to retake Theed. The Jedi face off with Darth Maul. Anakin attempts to help the Queen out by using the Starfighter he's in, but hits the autopilot. During the space battle, Anakin's ship's systems overheat, forcing him to land in a hanger on the Droid Control Ship. When his systems cool enough, he activates deflector shields and then fires two torpedoes that destroy critical systems within the Droid ship. The battles for Theed and the Naboo Plains are over. The Duel with Darth Maul has moved to an area with a pit. Qui-Gon is dead and Obi-Wan is left hanging in the pit. Using the Force, Obi-Wan gets Qui-Gon's saber, and cuts Maul in half. After this, Qui-Gon is given a funeral pyre and Anakin becomes Obi-Wan's apprentice.

As it turns out, the Kaminoas happened to have at the ready a large army of Clones for the Republic, apparently purchased by another Jedi. Also, another Bounty Hunter is here, Jango Fett. Eventually, they are surrounded by droids, and all seems lost, until Yoda, and the Clone army of the Republic comes down and saves the Jedi. The Battle of Geonosis begins. In a separate hanger, Obi-Wan, Anakin, and Count Dooku duel. Obi-Wan is injured, and Anakin loses his right arm up to the elbow. Yoda comes again to save the day, dueling Dooku. The Sith escapes. Obi-Wan tells Luke that his training is complete, all that remains is for Luke to defeat Vader. Leaving Dagohbah, Luke rejoins the Rebel Alliance as they plan their attack on the second Death Star. Using a stolen shuttle, the Rebels make an attempt to shut down the force field protecting the second Death Star. Two large battles ensue, both on the ground and in space. On the ground, Vader captures Luke and takes him to the second Death Star. Father and son duel. Luke eventually wins, but does not kill Vader. The Emporer electrocutes Luke until Vader picks up the Emperor and hurls him into a giant pit. Luke takes Vader off the second Death Star seconds before it explodes. The battles are over. The galaxy is free.

If you meet me:

Have some courtesy,

Have some sympathy,

And some taste.

Use all your well-learned politesse,

Or I'll lay your soul to waste.
