Main overview on all C&C games:
http://en.wikipedia....mmand_&_Conquer
------------
Tiberium Universe:

C&C tiberian dawn:
http://en.wikipedia....er_(video_game)

C&C tiberian sun(and firestorm expansion):
http://en.wikipedia....r:_Tiberian_Sun

C&C renegade(the first[and so far only] C&C fps):
http://en.wikipedia....nquer:_Renegade

and C&C3 Tiberium Wars:
http://en.wikipedia....:_Tiberium_Wars

The basic storyline goes that a meteor crashed into the tiber river in Itally, and brought it it an alien substance which became known as Tiberium. Tiberium leeches the minerals from the ground around it and deposits them in crystal formations, tiberium is also radioactive, and causes mutation.

GDI(global defense initiative) are at war with a semi religious semi political terrorist faction called the Brotherhood of Nod, with their messiah Kane(who is believed to be the biblical Cain (as in Cain and Abel, first sons of Adam and Eve, and the first man to commit murder after god accepts abel's sacrifice, but not cain's. Cain then banished to wander forever in the Land of Nod... yes, sounds familiar doesn't it?)

While GDI want to stop the tiberium infestation, Nod embraccess it as a gift from god. At the conclusion of each game nod is always defeated, but somehow kane does not seem to die, dispite seemingly have no possible way to survive(they used an orbital ion cannon to wipe out him and his base, and he just embraced its light with open arms. Only to appear again very much alive in the next game) He also appears not to age, despite the time gap between games.

Kane has been known to say "you cant kill the messiah"... maybe he's right? In the second game nod is reunited after its defeat, and kane returns. GDI defeat nod once more, but in the expansion Firestorm Nods AI Cabal goes renegade and begins turning everyone into cyborgs. It is defeated by a combined effort from the remaining nod and gdi forces. In the final cinematic it shows a scene of some core room of cabal, in which bodies are suspended within tubes, and one has Kane inside, It then goes to having cabal and kanes voices overlayed in talking about how his 'directives must be reassessed'.

Renegade is not that good, and i dont know much about it, so who really cares? its set before tib sun.

C&C 3 sees Kane return again, and he tricks GDI into firing their ion cannon at his temple, which has tiberum underneath. This causes liquid tiberium to be formed(when usually it would take much longer and the complete envelopment of the planet to create), which is the calling card for the race who sent the tiberium in the first place, the scrin, to come and start harvesting.

They do and find out not everything is dead on earth. A three way war starts, with GDI winning in the end (i dont really know the storyline myself, i dont own this one) destroying some scrin tower or something that was a transporter. Meaning the scrin cant send in their army.

((OK, i cant be bothered right now doing any more, i have homework which needs doing, so i'll do up the red alert and generals sections later))

I haven't played them either, so no you dont. But even if i had you wouldn't have to.

Red Alert Universe:

C&C Red Alert and Expansion Packs:
http://en.wikipedia....(computer_game)

C&C Red Alert 2:
http://en.wikipedia....er:_Red_Alert_2

RA2 Yuri's Revenge:
http://en.wikipedia......uri's_Revenge

Red Alert 3:
http://en.wikipedia....er:_Red_Alert_3

RA3 Uprising:
http://en.wikipedia....ert_3:_Uprising

Ok, Red Alerts storyline is about Einstein going back in time and erasing Hitler from existence using a device called the 'Chronosphere', in an attempt to prevent the horrors of WW2 from ever happening. Unfortunately this backfires when the soviet union, unchallenged by the germans, etc, starts going on a conquest of its own, trying to take over the whole Eurasian contenent.

Red alert was set up as a prequel to Tiberian Dawn, with Kain featuring in the soviet campaign(in the soviet victory Nadia[i think thats her name] kills Stalin and tells about her allegiance to the brotherhood of nod. Kane(the leader of nod) then kills her, and says he is the future.

Red alert 2 goes on from the allied victory, and has the soviets once more engaging in war, this time concentrated against the Americans who their new leader Premier Romanov sees as the reason soviets lost the last war. Unlike RA1 Kane does not make any appearance in the game. The soviet campaign leads to romanovs betrayal by his adviser Yuri, who is a psychic mastermind.

He is responsible for the mind control technology the soviets employ.
You then kill yuri and take control the new global Soviet empire, but with a final cut scene showing a brain in a containing, and yuri's voice telling about how he would so have loved to read your mind. In the allied victory romanov is captured and the soviets defeated.

The Expansion follows on from the allied victory(again) With Yuri surfacing from hiding, and revealing not only a secret army, but a network of 'psychic dominators', devices capable of brainwashing the entire world, to the President. The President tries to reason with him, offering him the role of the new leader of russia, But as yuri cleverly puts it:
"Why should i be content with ruling only one country, when i can rule the entire world?" An airstrike is called on the dominator on Alcatraz island, but it fails. Luckily one of the crashing aircraft strike the powerplant on alcatraz disabling the dominator.
Yuri then proceeds to active the network taking over all of the world except for that one part.

Luckily(again) Einstein has been working on a time machine, and you use this to go back in time to before the dominator network was completed(back during the events of RA2) and stop yuri's plans
The soviet campaign follows a similar storyline, but instead in the beginning the soviets steal the time machine and not only stop yuri, but turn the tide of the war in their favor.

The events of RA3 follow on from the allied victory, but i haven't played it so i dont know what happens. What i do know is at the start the soviets are nearly defeated, but use a time machine of their own to go back and erase Einstein Just like Einstein did to Hitler. Unfortunately not only does this not stop the allies, but it brings rise to a new foe, the empire of the rising sun(japan). It also removed nuclear weapons from existing, meaning that the soviets no longer have the nuke like they use to in all the other games.

And Uprising... no idea, but its set after RA3 and goes on from allied victory just like all the others.
