Lone Wolf is an evolving project and as time goes by new ideas are implemented and old ones dropped and sometimes some are brought back.

I am creating this topic to serve as a discussion on some of the things planned for Lone Wolf in upcoming betas and after release.
As well as a place to bring up abandoned ideas.

First -

Naval Combat is still on the books just moved to a later page.
This is due to problems with implementation.
I hope to get Naval Combat in the first post release version.

Campaigns
Like the Naval Combat the campaign has been pushed back due to implementation issues and general workload issues.
I hope to have the Campaigns in the first post release version.

Havens/Places of Power
This is currently being discussed be sure to have your say.

Market Plot
This was dropped due to workload and the fact that it really wasn't needed.

March Wardens
They will be moved into a horde and changed from a Scout unit to an elite Stealthed unit.
Possibly 3 to a horde.

Hoplite Class
As discussed in the strategic options thread the new Hoplite class is being implemented.

Website
Still in production but getting there.

Tournaments
I still hope to get some tournaments going for Lone Wolf.
At the moment the mod isn't really complete/bug free/balanced to play in a tournament setting but I hope to change that with the next beta.

Leaderboard
Still in production along with the website.

WAR
Things have been quiet on the WAR front with most of my attention going into Lone Wolf basic and AON.
Be sure to participate in the discussion or make your own WAR map or even try out the WAR maps that came in the map packs.

In closing I'd like to say that the future looks bright for Lone Wolf once finished it will be a very fun mod to play.
I hope you guys stick around for the rest of the journey and continue to play/test the betas.

Interseting.

Naval combat. I think this will be hard to make... But I can't tell since I am no modder or something like that.

Campaign. 1 word: awesome.

Havens/PoP: I don't like the name Haven. I'd call it Outpost or something. Your call. PoP is cool, duh, but can also be hard...

Market: don't think they are needed.

I skip March Wardens

Hoplites. Spear throwers?

Site. Don't care really. Nice if you have it but...

Tourney. Always cool.

Leaderbord. Leaderbord?

WAR. Cool idea, but mod is more important :) (IMHO)

Hoplites were the ancient greek soldiers, formed from all layers of society, and noted for their Phalanx formation, as i recall.

I think they are built from the Haven.
Not sure what will happen to them if the Havens get axed.

I've been thinking about splitting up the Nazgul into separate heroes.
(RJ ROTWK gave me the idea)
So what do you guys think should they be split?

like, different factions? or different powers?

I'd say both...

They are already split into multiple factions.
I mean making them different not just in powers but looks as well.
The differences between them physically would only be subtle.

i agree with splitting them into different heroes - if u can give them different powers/names (maybe the same sort of powers, but with tweaks) itll make the nazgul unique. i like RJ's idea, but i think the power difference should be the other way round; 1 or 2 shared powers (mount and morgul blade) and the majority of unique powers.

itd be nice if u included the known named nazgul (khamul and i think morgomir?), thatd be a nice change from just having *nazgul" 3 or 4 times :)

i think the best "khamul" ever done, IMO, was that of the WotE version, maybe look into that? anyway please do make each unique, i think itd make it a little more creative than havin "nazgul, nazgul, nazgul, witch king".

until u decide, ill try to start coming up with some power ideas, i have some written down for my own faction a while ago - ill see what i can do if u want me to :p

gl with the rest of the mod, best one on BFME so far ^_^

Khamul is already in the mod and Morogmir was a creation of EA's.

Khamul is a hero for Rhun and has unique powers.

tolkien gave just two names if i rember. Witch-king and Khamul. 7 nazgul don't have a name. at least tolkien didn't gave them.

and about there look. i don't think they had other armour then those black robes(or something like that). :)

so i don't really agree to split them up. but i like the idea to give them other powers.

If you're looking for Nazgul names, you should page through Hasfusel's high-flown RJ ideas. :)
