Copy/paste the target of your rj shortcut, and also the target of your normal rotwk shortcut.

Copy/paste the target of your rj shortcut, and also the target of your normal rotwk shortcut.

original rotwk:"C:\Program Files\Electronic Arts\The Lord of the Rings, The Rise of the Witch-king\lotrbfme2ep1.exe"

rj;"C:\Program Files\Electronic Arts\The Lord of the Rings, The Rise of the Witch-king\lotrbfme2ep1.exe" -mod "C:\RJ_RotWK"

There should've been a .lnk file (RJ-RotWK 1.06.lnk is what I have in mine, assuming you're using 1.06 it should be the same) in the .rar or .zip file you got. You take that, put it into your RJ-ROTWK folder in C:, and it should work perfectly. I was a little confused about this as well, when I was trying to install it.

You don't need BFME1, just take all of the files from the .RAR / .ZIP and put them in the same file you put RJ-ROTWK into. I hope this helps.

By the way, just in case you didn't understand the instructions (it took me a few read throughs) you don't put the RJ-ROTWK folder into your base ROTWK folder. You put it straight into C:. Outside of Program Files and all that - let it make a folder of its own. Then you put the .lnk into that and it should work fine.

'The Twilight of Man is nigh, and coming ever closer. The days have shortened into cold, forlorn darkness and sunrise to sundown is a bitter struggle for survival. But do not think for a moment that we shall not fight. We shall not go quietly into the dusk. We shall not throw down arms and flee, or surrender. We will go on, we will not falter. And even should we die, we shall make an end that will be remembered for thousands of years. For beautiful Arnor that is, for glorious Númenor that was! We are the Dúnedain, we are the Men of the North, and our foes will remember our steel!'

Eh nope. Just open up the zip file, extract the RJ_RotWK folder DIRECTLY to your C drive (so not into program files), and also extract from the zip file the .ink shortcut that comes with it.

If you installed RotWK in the default folder (C/Program Files/Electronic Arts/The Lord of the blahblah), just use the shortcut and you're good to go.

Hope it helps, and have fun playing ;)
It has been reported that some victims of rape, during the act, would retreat into a fantasy world from which they could not WAKE UP. In this catatonic state, the victim lived in a world just like their normal one, except they weren't being raped. The only way that they realized they needed to WAKE UP was a note they found in their fantasy world. It would tell them about their condition, and tell them to WAKE UP. Even then, it would often take months until they were ready to discard their fantasy world and PLEASE WAKE UP

You've extracted the folder directly to the C drive, so it would be C/RJ_RotWK_1_06, right?

Yes that what it says. I extracted the folder to my c drive and it is outside of program files. I moved the shortcut to my desktop. I have both of the required updates for rotwk and BME 2. every time i open up the game i get the regular game. I posted my targets in an above posting, any help would be greatly apprecaited.

I have no idea then... If your gamepath is wrong, it shouldn't load the game at all, but if your mod path is good, it should load the mod...

The path is wrong. The file name has _1_06, so you need to add that to the end of your target. So:

C:\Program Files\Electronic Arts\The Lord of the Rings, The Rise of the Witch-king\lotrbfme2ep1.exe" -mod "C:\RJ_RotWK_1_06"

Unless, of course, he renamed the folder (like I did)... *scratches head*

No, I mean that he might have renamed his folder. For example, I shortened "RJ_RotWK_1_06" into "RJ-RotWK". :good:

I'm having the same problem as fyremedic. Nothing will make the thing work. I've followed the instructions about eight times now. I have Vista, I have the 2.01 patch of Witchking. I have extracted the .zip file to drive C outside of program files. I can't find any file with an .Ink suffix on it. I'd really like to play this mod, but it just starts the regular game. Please help.
