Just wondering how can the Elves take out a castle. Galadriels power dosent seem to work on walls or gates.

Use ents, Elronds water horses, Glorfindel.
There are tons of ways you can take down gates.

Galadriel's melee attack can attack gates. Though because of the geometery, you might have to move her manually closer to the gate for it to atually take damage.
