Lag Thoughts

First of all, let me say that this is the best mod and has made all other mods virtually unplayable. With that being said, due to the lag of this mod it is almost unplayable at this current time. I believe that the one key difference between this mod and all others is the way the credit is constantly calculated. Other mods have a plethora of extra units, planets, ect.. and have no lag problems that I know of. I think that taking out this credit calculation and going back to vanilla may help to reduce the lag. For example: If I start a campaing regardless of which I choose, the lag is almost non-existent due to the small # of planets that I control and thus the small amount of units being built at once. However as I play and conquer more planets and build more and more units (thus increasing the number of calculations), it slows down tremendously. I do not have the means to test my theory, but I would love to know if it makes any difference what so ever.

It doesn't. In the end, it's just the number of planets and units themselves that cause problems.
Try downloading the slim campaigns from the releases page.
Also, try raiding a few AI controlled planets, especially their starting planets. The AI tends to build a huge number of units.
