hey..i have tried to play the mod on NETWORK..and..it says..connection failed..maybe your opponent has a modified version of the game etc.i have tried it with the normal version of ROTWK..and it always shows me the same..any ideas?or..steps in order to play the mod or the normal version on NETWORK??

Do an uninstall of your rotwk I'd say, you probably have some slightly edited file.

it says..JOIN FAILED GAME HAS DETECTED A MISMATCH.THIS MEANS THE MULTIPLAYER GAME HAS LOST SYNCHRONIZATION BETWEEN THE PLAYERS.IT IS POSSIBLE THAT YOUR OPPONENT HAS MODIFIED THE VERSION OF THE GAME.is a cable or something required?or the original game?i have a copy..i had the assault on carn dum map in one of the computers..and i deleted it..but..it's the same message..

If you want to play cabled LAN, then yes.

Me and my buds get together for a lan party every other Friday. You will need a CABLE connecting two or more computers to a ROUTER or SWITCH to play a network game. We play ROTWK alot, along with some other games. For ROTWK everyonce in a while we have to do reinstalls and whatnot because we get that same message.

This past friday, the problem was that one of us wasnt patched to 2.01 before we put the RJROTWK mod in. The mod still installed successfully but without that patch we couldnt join up. We figured it out and got into game fine. Other things we've learned while trying this and other mods is to play on lan with ROTWK you DO need a seperate CD KEY for each player. You can use the same cd to start the game then take it out to have the next person start the game. But you must must must have your own individual CD key. And make sure everyone is patched up. If you have EVER had any other mods on BFME2 or ROTWK i STRONGLY recomend doing a complete uninstall of BOTH games and then DELETE the leftover folders to make sure you get rid of any left over mod file that the uninstal does not take out. Most of the time the uninstal leaves the mod files there so if you reinstall the game it will put them right back into the folder with the mod files. I hope that helps. To patch the game means that you have installed the updates for it that EA gives you for free. Just use your check for update thing and your set.

the only problem is..that i have a copy of the game..i tried to find the original and buy it..and the only thing they say is..it's too old..we can't find this game..and to do these update..you must have the original game..

Ahh i see. The only other option left for you is to try to find the game at an online store like Amazon or ebay. The shipping may be a little more expensive since your from Germany, but it will depend on where you order it from. But the is my best suggestion for getting a game that you really want. I checked on both Amazon and Ebay and there are TONS of BFME 1&2 and ROTWK on them. Hope this helps.
