This is the beginning work on the interior walls of Helm's Deep. Right now I got the walls all in the correct positions and have the basic layout put together. Accessories and Worldbuilder textures have not been worked on yet so focus on the walls for right now.
There are ten unique wall models for the interior structure. The texture and model base was provided by EA and I significantly modified both to further fit my needs.
Helm Hammerhand
Helm Hammerhand is a level four summon power for Rohan. The model base was provided by EA and I did some major kitbashing and model editing to get the final product. The texture is 100% made from scratch by yours truly. I'm really proud of the skin and this project has really helped my 2-d art abilities. Thanks to Nertea for providing some amazing skinning tutorials on the main site and sharing his knowledge and talent with others.

Axed Head and A.I. Coder for S.E.E. and ... stuff

Careful. This link is DANGEROUS. Do NOT click it. This one, however, is fine.
I had the meaning of life in my signature, but it exceeded the character limit.

What a nice surprise Rob, you really did summon old Helm Hammerhand! very, very beautiful with that solution to the problematic treatment of the horn in the movie - seems to me that you are combining the best from the movie with the best from the books!
Very nice architecture, too (and good for the gameplay with more space inside the walls) - I sure would like to have a much closer look at that (well, you know I have been architect in civil life)
Indeed, beautiful work, Rob!!

The caves haven't been worked on by human hand, at least not to a great extent, so i reckong it'll be the Keep interior.
Great stuff Rob!!
I think Rob did actually
I would also like to know where in the fortress those walls are.
Anyway, fantastic work

Correct, they are the Keep interior walls. I thought that would be obvious.
I would also like to know where in the fortress those walls are.
The walls and Glittering Caves are all behind the Deeping wall and the Arcade. It's all going to be enclosed in the mountain shell I created.

... well, that should be obvious. The walls and Glittering Caves are all behind the Deeping wall and the Arcade. ...
... It's all going to be enclosed in the mountain shell I created.
... but that is not obvious to me ... enclosed??
does that mean that you are going to model the Hornrock as foundation for the Hornburg? that would indeed be a beautiful addition!
or does 'enclosed' simply imply more surprises (more secrets?) enclosed in the mod?

But I fear with all these new additions, my comp will lag horribly when I play it...
That is, of course until I get my awesome new graphics card in two weeks!

Just have to point out one thing though: Helm Hammerhand didn't actually carry a hammer. In fact, he carried no weapons at all. He got the name "Hammerhand" because he once killed a Dunlending with a single punch.

Actually, he did kill many dunlendings that way, but the texts do not say explicit, that he never wore any weapons:Just have to point out one thing though: Helm Hammerhand didn't actually carry a hammer. In fact, he carried no weapons at all. He got the name "Hammerhand" because he once killed a Dunlending with a single punch.
... He would go out by himself, clad in white, and stalk like a snow-troll into the camps of his enemies, and slay many men with his hands. It was believed that if he bore no weapon no weapon would bite on him. ...
The important word here is if ... to me that implies that sometimes he did bear weapon (as to what kind the texts do not mention) ... if Rob's model did not have any weapon, then - applying the logic in the quote - he should bear no shield either!
Apart from that, the hammer is not a very 'kingly' weapon - still, very symbolic!
