Lately, I've noticed that while the Emergency Room is supposedly only about helping and fixing problems on our computers, several (including myself) have found it the best place to ask for computer advice or information, but not help.

Maybe the Emergency Room should be made into a subforum of a general "Computers" forum. Inside the main computers forum, people can ask about computers or for computer advice. If they have a computer problem, then they can post about it in the Emergency Room subforum.

No, these advice and ask info topics should not be in the Open Topic. This is a forum on the internet, composed of a bunch of guys who mod and play games. Computers are naturally a rather large part of this group's lives and should deserve a forum to themselves, not regulated to the "other miscellaneous stuff" section.

Those are my thoughts. Questions, comments?

This section is too little used to put an extra subforum in it. You have a point on the name though, and you're welcome to come up with a better one

Aside from spoof-naming it after the Geek Squad, my brain refuses to work. Permission to ask about possible new names in the forum itself?

Or if anyone has an idea right now, they can just say so here.....
