Working title: "An ex and a prospect"

I'll be honest I don't think it's as good as the first. This kinda felt like a big amalgamation of lines and words while I was writing it, unlike the first, which was one big stream of lyricness.

Heart on a sleeve
Your silence kills me
and I lack the will
to pursue this any further
300 letters
give me inspiration
and your name decorates my phone
I won't say goodbye
There's too much to owe you

Guitar's on my lap
and all the strings are broken
I thought too long and thought I might have lost you
these fucking chords
won't convey my message
Think it might be too late
can't turn it all around

Life is a puzzle
I heard someone say
scattered all the pieces
trying to find God
it's left me with an aching
and now I'm coming home
only three months come and gone
but who gives a damn?
Looks like you're the only thing that matters now

I'll try to call you
try not to bring you down
these last words from my mouth
"dunno what we have, but I like it"
and it doesn't matter one cent anymore

Who does he think he is
trying to force you
after all, I'm the one that you're with
for the moment
but all my dreams have died
no way left to curse you

I won't say goodbye
No way left to curse you
might be too late
to turn it all around.

If you meet me:

Have some courtesy,

Have some sympathy,

And some taste.

Use all your well-learned politesse,

Or I'll lay your soul to waste.
