About the Elven Siege material, what about a recruitable siegemaster, which is a single elf who can use 1 power...

Nature's aid or something

When casted he summons a living tree which can't move but can throw stones or kick walls/doors.

It's pretty much the same as the ents do, but now it's more like elven magic... Or some sort of catapult which fires waterhorses.
(It shouldn't look like a catapult, maybe an elf could do it...

Or the siegemaster can choose between 2 spells:

* The waterhoses, which runs from him in the direction he casted the spell.
* The tree which can only be summoned in a certain radius an can only attack walls or doors with his "hands"
Another servant of the Secret Fire

Actually, the waterhorses make absolutely no sense and will probably be removed from the game altogether. They can really only be caused at a single place in middle earth, not anywhere one wants. Also, only Elrond can cause the flooding of the Bruinen, but it was Gandalf who caused it to be shaped like horses with riders (much unlike the films, of course), and also added many boulders. All in all, it can't really be summoned out of nowhere my some elf.

Not sure about the trees... It sounds more plausible than a flood but I'm not sure about trees that can tare down walls in a few minutes (as opposed to, many years), unless they can move too, and are actually Huorns or Ents.

:shiftee: Mmmm... Elven Seige weapons...
You could use a Big animal.

Like Mirkwood would have a Elven Spider. Rivendell can use a Rivendell River beast.
Lothorien can use... A... Forest drake, or Troll, or Giant?

Okay, i think some of my ideas are stupid.

OR

Use a cataplut pulled by a Ent like the Angmarian Troll Cataplut and the ent loads it?

1. "The spiders were the only living thing [the elves of Mirkwood] had no mercy on."
2. River beasts don't exist.
3. All trolls are evil. No exceptions.

It's not that your ideas are bad... it's just that they don't fit anywhere. :shiftee:

Careful. This link is DANGEROUS. Do NOT click it. This one, however, is fine.

By river beast, I mean a water serpent kida like a water stallion.

Since, it's a MOD... Can't you make a River Beast?

@dragonzilla: Though I know everything seems easy to you right now, Modding isn't something that's very easy to do. Making a unit means that there is a skin needed, a model, a skeleton, animations, coding and artwork. Every aspect of this is very hard to do. The skin needs to be of a certain quality and has to look real, the model is like the flesh of a skin and needs to "fit", the skeleton needs to be placed in order to be able to create animations, for without animations, the unit would glide over the field and do nothing. Without tons of coding, the unit won't be able to do any damage nor even be able to be built from the structure where it is trained. Even summoning requires tons of coding! And last but not least, Artwork. There has to be a palantir image or a button to be clicked. Without it, the mod just doesn't seem "right", you see?

You'll see when you try one of these aspects, as did I :good:
If you've tried to mod, you'll see that it is very hard, and that you've got to respect the people who've got talent to do this. :p

Last of all, do not expect people to do stuff for free. :shiftee: I've noticed you asking for dragon factions, but you'll have to do it yourself, since people need a lot of time to create a faction. ;)
If the above post offended you in any way,
please take note that, until further notice, I don't care, so get lost.

All true points, though I don't seen their relevance.

Dragonzilla, it doesn't really matter how difficult it is to make a river beast or whatever; I would like to keep everything with a purpose in my mod... Anything not based in lore is already in-game, and a lot of that is still being cut (such as spiders for goblins, etc.)

River beasts could exist, depending on what you consider a "river beast" of courses. I mean, a salmon could be a river beast. It's all in the view... I'm not sure how far I'd be willing to take that idea, though. The idea of a river beast walking around the map seems a bit odd, too.

Was that directed to me? ;)
If so, just explaining why most people don't want to make stuff because someone asks for it :p

I mean, relevance to this topic. What your saying seems to be directed at Dragonzilla, not the actual post in this topic. It was rather off topic and isn't helping with the suggestions at all... I'm not asking for understanding of how hard modding, I just want some suggestions.

Now that you mention it, I don't see modding as being as difficult as your making it out to be... Coding is pretty easy, and 2d art is a breeze, at least for me. I can understand but I don't think there's a whole lot of trouble in adding a unit or two... I'm gonna have to do it for the elven siege one way or another. Everything but anims, probably.
Greetings, community.

Well, my sincere apologies.

OT: Elves are just as much capable of using catapults as any other race, it's just that we don't see them use those weapons. The same with axes. Why won't elves carry axes? Tolkien didn't specify axes as Dwarf-only.

Actually, I think some Elves of the first age did use axes. But I'm not against Catapults or Ballistae for the elves at all. I was planning on using a Ballista already. Ents and Ballistae should do.

And by skeleton, you mean bone models like the Trolls and Mumakil have, that sink into the ground, right?

:) Yes I mean that. To a troll or a large creature,: first the skin melts off, and then the skeleton slowly sinks.
But, the Awakened Wyrm dosen't a skeleton... ( Sorry going into sciencitfic) The Wyrm is like a snake, Barly has Bones, it just has a spine
