Will HL2 have all entities of HL1? Until trigger_camera? If anybody could help me it would be greatly appreciated. Thank you.

Yes and no. they are taking some out and adding some, no one knows for sure which ones will stay and which will go. will have to wait for the SDK (whenever that is >=\)

I remember there being talk of an I/O system for HL2 entities.

Your 'until trigger_camera' might become 'wait - use triger' connect to 'in - use_camera'.
I've no idea how the I/O system will work, but if it's like i imagin then you could have maps with huge events like an asteroid belt, where colinding rocks would I/O each other on collision to change there paths. Saving the mapper from having to script all the movements and collision impacts.
