I love that song, and thanks for the advice, Vortigern :xd:
And no, I don't have narcolepsy.

...what I've read. Apparently, if I control my breathing, I can do anything in a dream and actually feel it! Do you see the same possibilities I do?! I must learn how to cause it!

You can't lose your virginity that way...

Sounds interesting but it would take much practice to control it.

I MUST have this happen to me! I'm so fucking curious about this!

Ever heard of the saying "Curiosity killed the cat"? It wouldn't be fun if you were that cat, would it? You're 13 years old, causing your own sleep paralysis might bring harmful effects to your daily life, nobody knows what will happen. I know one thing though; whatever happens, you'll probably regret it for as long as you live.

Do you even have any idea what sleep paralysis is? It something completely natural and happens to just about everyone a couple of times in their lives. The worst that can happen is that you get a panic attack because your body is paralyzed but your mind is in a state between full consciousness and dreaming. If, on the other hand, you're well prepared and looking forward to it, I'm sure it can be a great experience.

ok TLC, i looked it up and apparently here are the exact instructions on how to do it:

1) Make sure you are tired, maybe stay up all night for a few nights, the tireder the better
2) drink three glasses of water, big glasses, so your stomach feels full of water, this sensation helps with the process.
3) get into bed now at your normal time, but dont go to sleep, lay there, as still as you possibly can, short charp breaths, and keep your mind occupied, just keep thinking about paralysis, to try and get your mind focused on the process
4) every hour sit up, and stretch, move around a bit, before getting back into bed and closing your eyes, still concentrating on paralysis
5) when you start finding yourself nodding off, keep repeating in your head "i am going to go to sleep, i will wake up, and be paralysed" keep repeating it, like a chant in your head
6) DONT Fall asleep yet. After keeping yourself awake untill late after your normal bedtime, keeping that chant going through your head, you need to get up one last time and have another drink of water(it doesn't have to be water, but water is good for you, any liquid will do i guess)
7) again start the chant, by now you should also be feeling like you really have to go to the toilet. Dont, this is what will wake you up while your brain still has the paralysis active.
8) you should have a very vivid dream, probably a nightmare. You should feel very scared, this is all part of it
9) this you cant really control, but once your stress levels peak(you are getting night terrors, like scare the crap outta you type stuff) you should jolt away without your mind fulling leaving its dream state, with its natural paralysis still in effect(yes, your body paralyses your body while you are dreaming to stop you from flailing around and hurting yourself in your sleep)
10) you may have wet yourself, so its probably best if you wear a diaper to bed, one of those adult ones if you want, the ones old people use on occasion.
11) now you are paralyzed, you should experience weird visions and stuff that is pretty damn scary, but eventually you will fall back to sleep and wake without the paralysis, or simply have it wear off and your mind go back to normal
12) And finish reading these instructions and realise its all bull that i made up on the spot. Just sit still if you dont want to move.
Seriously, causing your own sleep paralysis? As if you would, what do you see as the benefit from it? what could possibly be good about it? sounds just stupid too me...

I lol'ed ;) especially at step 10 :)
It has been reported that some victims of rape, during the act, would retreat into a fantasy world from which they could not WAKE UP. In this catatonic state, the victim lived in a world just like their normal one, except they weren't being raped. The only way that they realized they needed to WAKE UP was a note they found in their fantasy world. It would tell them about their condition, and tell them to WAKE UP. Even then, it would often take months until they were ready to discard their fantasy world and PLEASE WAKE UP

Hmm... step 10 does bring up a good point. If you did cause sleep paralysis, wouldn't that cause your bowels to release their warm chocolaty surprise?

He's talking about the warm yellow surprise that comes from your bladder :p

And actually, some of those things are shown to help cause it, so says the internet, so it's not all bullshit. But, those aren't exact instructions.

Hello everyone. I am back.

Some of them i think might actually help, i think the chant thing helped me have a lucid dream(or it was just all the reading about lucid dreams that did it. I know the cause in the dream was seeing a shop with a banner with the word Lucid in it, thats what made me realise).
and yeah, peeing yourself is what i was relating it too, cause of the all water i said to drink :p

and no, i'm not taking it seriously anymore, i've thought it was silly from the start.
what i said at the end sums up my feelings:

Seriously, causing your own sleep paralysis? As if you would, what do you see as the benefit from it? what could possibly be good about it? sounds just stupid too me...

also if you are paralyzed and you have your eyes open, they could become damaged from drying out, could they not?

Bottom line: TLC, find another way of getting out of school in the morning :)

I don't dream very often, but I can very definitely feel everything that I am dreaming; for better or for worse.

You... randomly were put into sleep paralysis when your violent flashbacks started to kick in?
