A sleek advanced tactical gunship prowed through debris field with full polar shield raised. The gunship continued to scan these debris for any survivor but none was found. Satisfied, the commander ordered the vessel to drop a decoy. Vakk Kormai Oiilan sat quietly as her crew brought the specialized gunship of Fleet Special Operation to a designated observation spot in the planetary ring and powered down non-essential system. The material inside the ring would mask their energy signature and they would wait for the Order to investigate the bullky transport full of traitors Oiilan had destroyed. The decoy would send a distress signal in all Order frequencies.

The SpecOps had known about the Order for quite a long time. They were not a threat until Likar joined them a few years ago. Under normal circumstances, people with misguided faith would be subdued and brought into the Sho speicial care. Those priestesses would do anything to convert them back with a great success thus far. However, as soon as Tactician Likar had turned against the Fonoss, more and more of the misguided could elude detection and became full members of the Order.

Oiilan had worked as Intel Operative back then, gathering intelligence but not commiting any real action. Finally, she got a position she always wanted, one fo the Seekers. Her task was to locate and eliminate Traitor Likar. This advanced gunship was equipped with the fastest hyperdrive that could fit the hull and one of the most advanced sensors. It also got a few extra punches with 10 torpedoes and extra photon cannons. With such firepower, she hoped to combat Likar herself. If Oiilan won, it would be glorious. If not, she would die as a heroine.

"Commander, incoming vessel." A male officer to her left reported.

"Good," replied Oiilan with satisfaction.

"Marshal, there's a Fonoss ship incoming!" The Order captain was panicking, frantically trying to contact the Order ships in the vicinity of the system before the other vessel could close for combat. He pounded the controls angrily. "They're jamming our communications!"

Likar swore volubly. "It looks like we'll have to fight them. I didn't expect a fight, but I came prepared." She turned to the other crew members.

"Prepare to close for combat!" Fonoss, Rakbi, Chalsidii, Astrum, and the odd Cythelu jumped to the laser turrets, taking careful aim. However, they knew better than to fire without her order: Likar was known to torture crew members for less. Even if they were to be surrounded, and under heavy fire from all sides, they wouldn't dare to attack without her order.

"Wait for my signal," said Likar calmly. "Perhaps we can contact their ship and inform them who they're dealing with." She motioned to the captain of the ship. "Send them a transmission. I'll not deign to speak to them unless they are worth my time. If they aren't..." She waved a careless hand. "Well, the crew is already in the turrets, and I'd hate to have them waste their time."

"Yes, marshal," replied the captain. He punched a few buttons and spoke into the comlink.

"Fonoss vessel, you have been found at the site of the destruction of an Order ship. Please state your purpose, or we will open fire."

Likar smiled thinly. I'm glad I brought the other two ships with me, she thought. Even if they're not here at the moment, they may have recieved the distress signal. If this vessel is hostile, they'll be flanked in short order.

"Commander, the Order vessel is sending transmission." The officer to Oiilan's left reported.

Ignoring the report, Oiilan simply ordered. She suspected that Likar might have come herself. "Continue on course and target their engines and comm relay. Fire 2 torpedoes and close-in to fire photon cannons. Max our void shield now."

"Torpedoes away," said the female officer to the right. Then she seemed to pause to read something on her console. "Long-range sensor detects two Order vessels. They aren't moving in....yet."

Oiilan rested her shaved head on her left hand, excitement igniting within her soul. The gunship rushed toward the target with full engine power, weapons running hot. She muttered as the gunship began the attack run. "It's a good day for you to die, fanatic scums."

The captain's brow furrowed in puzzlement, then he frantically motioned to Likar. "They're ignoring our transmission, Marshal! They're moving in for the attack!" The Fonoss vessel was moving in like a hungry wolf, bristling with weaponry. The captain swore.

"Torpedoes! Shields up, and fire on all cylinders! FIRE!"

Likar beckoned to one of the Astrum technicians standing close by. "Patch us through to the other two ships. It's time to get rid of this nuisance.

Sweating, the technician saluted. "Yes, Marshal. I'll do as much as I can."

Likar smiled thinly. "See that you do." She strode out of the bridge and casually pressed the button for the observation deck elevator. "I'll enjoy watching you die for what you did to our fellow believers."

OOC: Oiilan will continue her hunt for a long time. Kinda like turning Oiilan into Likar nemesis.
For now, she will retreat and leave something interesting for Likar.

-----------------------------------------

The gunship was pounded from opposing fire. However, the speed of new plasma drives had saved Oiilan and her crew from a journey to oblivion. Many incoming fires were missed. The photon beam struck again and again as the gunship moved from place to place but no heavy damage was inflicted. Oiilan felt her temper rising. They're better than I anticipated, but I show them otherwise.

"Commander, the two other ships have changed their heading toward this location."

"Curse them," cried Oiilan angrily. Time for backup plan. She barked another order. "Target aft section and fire with shield draining burst. Get ready to launch hyper-dimensional transmitter."

Her plan was to drain a small section of the shield and attached a tracking device to it. Using hyper-dimension technology, this device can barely be detected by conventional means. It masked itself in hyperdrive signature and sent a tight band tracking signal through secondary hyperspace dimension. If she cannot fight today, she would make sure to find a way to fight another day. Oiilan turned toward the officer to her right. "As soon as the device is deployed, get us to Gisda-6 at max hyperdrive speed."

Likar, I shall hunt you down with all my effort. You may escape me now, but not forever. Oiilan thought bitterly.

Several weeks later...

Likar's ship took off from the surface of a frontier planet. The Fonai herself watched from the upper deck as the Fonoss outpost she had destroyed burned merrily. She smiled thinly: her kin had rejected her, and she was having her revenge.

Doubtless my footpad will be along soon... I hope she's prepared to die, or else retreat in ignominy once again.

Oiilan was too late to save the outpost as her squadron dropped out of hyperspace. This time, she brought some extra hands. A squadron of three specialized gunships charged forward with maximum velocity. The Order ship that was leaving orbit was unmistakenably Likar's. The transmitter was quite precise. She turned to the officer to her right and howled, "Full torpedo barrage. Signal our squadron to do the same."

As the trio moved in to attack, Oiilan could only think of how she would torture the traitor, Likar.
