I've been working with the units of Nargothrond, they're practically finished. Siege machines are the next step. (And the guard tower is the next thing I'm going to do, Matias xD).

The units of Nargothrond are soldiers armed with spears, archers, and the workers. The last ones can build mines, which develope upgrades, give resources and increase the population limit. Probably I'll make them able to construct the siege machines (just like the dwarves).

They're all made in the fortress, which can be upgraded with walls and trebuchets and ballistas (not done yet).

The upgrades are made. However, the improved weapons and the fire arrows are impossible to make their effects look good, so I won't show them now.

That's it:

Ah, forgot to say that. I wanted to increase the strenght of the banner carriers, like if they were "mini heroes" or captains who lead the units to the battle. That's why I put them on a horse. I'll see if I change it.

I like it too. Good work Morgoth, now hurry up with the siege machines so you can do that tower... :good:

Well, think about the OPness of the banner then. It could just walk over enemy troops. The archers, probably no problem, but then there are the melee troops. See were I am going with this?

Edit: I mean melee troops.

Ah, but he won't go faster than his infantry, which usually is not fast enough to trample.

...You haven't combined Melee troops with cav in TEA, have you Elven? If you had, you would know that the cav would trample the enemy regardless of it's speed. Unless said modder makes it so that doesn't happen. :good:

.....They shouldn't be able to :good:
Even so, this is a bit different. It be more like when cav has been trampling for a bit.

Having one guy trampling in a group of five won't be overpowered :good:

EDIT: Good stuff, Morgoth. Though there's a model/anim problem with the warrior's idle anim (spear haft going through pauldron). Interested to see what all the fuss about the guard tower is, though.

They're nice skins. The armor looks a little dull, but then again, they're Elves :good:.

Good work m8 . I agree the armour should be more shinny and more ornated. Keep up the good work .

That's true. However, in this mod I've focused on realism more than in the "typical elven stereotypes" with this baroque and overelaborated style, which I hate a lot xD. I wanted to give a different point of view to the elves, my personal point of view.

Shinny... Well, the texture itself is shinny. However, the shaders are the shaders :good: : If I paint something extremely shinny(practically white), when the lighting of the game gets darker, those white parts will look grey and without detail.

The armor looks excellent, although the faces are somwhat blurry on the archers. Perhaps it's the angle?

Careful. This link is DANGEROUS. Do NOT click it. This one, however, is fine.

I had the meaning of life in my signature, but it exceeded the character limit.

Here, figured I'd knock up what I picture the Nargothrond guard tower to look like. It's pretty big (ie not usable ingame) and has more than just the tower, but I feel it gets the concept across :p

Feel free to comment; maybe it could help you out ideas-wise, Morogth, unless you've already gotten one

Thanks mike. Although you have not shown a tower but practically a camp, I like the idea. I've thought about a mini camp, like in bfme 1. Perhaps I could make the tower to work as the central part of a base and you build secondary structures just like fountains or statues around it. Could work.

EDIT: The guard tower I was talking about is for Echoes :p Thanks anyway, let's see if Matias likes the idea.
