"Soviet Union was a superpower and each superpower needs at least 1 war at 5 years to keep army in a good condition." ... my grandpa. USA create wars more frequently.

Also. My grandpa has a Toshiba laptop and it looks like any other one that's produced. Black, shiny, big screen, Vista, etc.

Nothing wrong with a Toshiba design, but it's sort of bland and ignorant with their big logo (Which is their big meaningless name) smudged all over their stuff. Macs have had the apple on the back of their since 199(seven) and PCs have used the widely popular windows logo at times, but they just use fancy designs with the brand of PC somewhere on it out of sight these days. Now Toshiba...
Can we get a nice red 'swoosh' or something?

For instance;
I have a crappy looking Dell notebook but it functions well so I don't give a shit.
I used to drive a beat up 1991 Ford Taurus that ran quite well.
My Toshiba television still works even after 10 years and their lifespan is a few years less than that.
My dad has a Compaq from 2000 with Windows 98SE that still runs, really well at that.
My point being that because something is ugly, or old, doesn't mean it's not still useful.
Though I have to ask something - what does something that looks good but is mediocre have over something that looks a bit used or worn but runs like a dream?

Dell, apparently to my family, has horrible Customer Support; so I tend to exile Dells.

Most places have crappy support. I don't bother cause I can usually handle everything myself.Dell, apparently to my family, has horrible Customer Support; so I tend to exile Dells.
But I'd never actively buy a Dell cause I hate the shit they stuff on when you buy one. I only have the laptop cause it was a freebie from my school.

Fuck HP, their support is terrible, and they issued a batch of faulty motherboards but will only claim some models under a one-off fix guarantee. The rest they acknowledge are screwed, but won't cover itHP all the way.

I'm surprised Alien ware hasn't been blurted out at this point yet.
Because they ARE Dells anymore.
I have an older IBM brick of a laptop but it's fast and nice and suits me just fine.
Also, I've been longer than some of you people have been online. I've been furry longer than some of you people have had erections.
Kiss my grimy rat ass.

Bet mine's older. Pentium MMX @ 150mHz, 32M RAM, 2G HDD, Windows 3.1.
Used regularly. Of course that's not the computer I use for gaming and internet, but since it still works well I still use it.
I used to be {AE}Manveru, if that rings a bell.
