Trailer for the Old Republic just made me dance about in glee.

Fuck yeah!

Pity it's an MMO

Well, yes and no... If it's similiar to Guild Wars, it's okay... If there's a monthly fee, it's not okay
I would've preferred a KotOR approach though

SW:TOR FTW!!!
HALO FTL!!!
Seriously, Halo's a great game, but getting rated at a 10? I smell death threats issued to those who were thinking about rating it at less. It's a bit overrated in my opinion. I'd give it an 8.5.

Anyways, Lauri, I'm pretty sure there'll be a monthly payment. The budget is nearly $1 billion... so... yeah, kinda self-explanatory.

I can't say I've ever played Halo. FPS's don't interest me much...

Halo's a pretty good FPS, but I don't know how it achieved legendary status. I honestly prefer Call of Duty.

Where did you come up with that number?

Halo's a pretty good FPS, but I don't know how it achieved legendary status.

It achieved legendary status because it showed FPS can work well on consoles. Other than Goldeneye, most were horrible before Halo.

@2play and PS3 owners:
Most of the stuff shown at Sony's Conference seemed uninteresting to me (other than GoW3, Motion controller, and that racing game where you make you own tracks). Is this my non-Sony knowledge causing this or do you agree?

On another note, I was extremely disappointed with Nintendo's Conference. Super Mario Galaxy 2 and Metriod were the only thing good.

Probably option 3: Tastes differ.
Personally, the things you mention are already enough to make it good, but add to that two new MGS games, Uncharted 2, Ratchet and Clank, and Assassin's Creed 2 and it's great.

Concerning the budget, I found out that I misread something. EA bought Bioware and Pandemic for about a billion dollars :wink_new:. Please pardon the mishap. The budget is probably about half that, possibly only even a quarter. Anyways, EA did buy Bioware and Pandemic for SWTOR alone.

But still, it's an MMORPG, and one that's been in development for 5 years... we're looking at a monthly payment. I'd bet my life on it.

Can you believe this topic has more posts than a similar topic in the Games area of Revora (or Media Discussion, what it's called now) :p.

I think E3 was quite good, many promising and interesting games were shown. There's a lot of nice games to look forward to :p. E3 was better than last year, though it's definitely not perfect. (I'd post more about the games but I have to go now.)

I watched most of the PS3 trailer and was lost they were making sequels to games I've never heard of.
A lot of new games are lost on me because I don't own any of the new consoles (stupid rent taking all my gaming money).
I'm looking forward to some games on PS3 FF13 and Tekken 6.

Oh don't worry, if they do ruin it, we can always burn EA down. ;)
