I did a search and did not see the problem I am haveing. When I start the game it will start to load and then crash to the desktop with an exception error. I am running it on Windows Vista 64 profesional edition.

Hmm, I wish I could help you, but that's not much to go on. At what point in the process does it error out: when it's initializing, at the logo screen, when it's loading the main menu battle, or at the menu? There are all sorts of reasons why it might give an exception at different times, but an unmodified release should be free of most of those. My shot-in-the-dark guess would be that there's something wrong with the installation.

As soon as I click the icon. A window will open then I get the error and the game wont load. One thing I forgot to mention I had the same error with the 32 bit version of vista but the game would still load. For some reason it wont load with the 64 bit version.

Odd . Given that I don't have Vista (either 32- or 64-bit), perhaps this question's best left to someone else. I'm really stumped.

Do you have regular EaW/FoC, or the Gold Pack?

Regular versions. Let me make sure it is installed correctly. It should be installed to program files (x86)\lucas arts\star wars emipre at war forces of corruption\mods\phoenix_rising_v1.1 right?

There's apparently some compatibility problems or something with Vista (Possibly) and the regular versions of the game. Someone on the UEaW forums posted this possible fix a while ago. Maybe it helps...
