How about Kings of the West, Ringy? It is (for all purposes) finished, despite being virtually dead for several months. 
I think what you're mistaking for a "curse" is merely the normally high rate of death among mods. You happen to be a tester for many of them unlike a lot of people, which is skewing your perspective. That's how it looks from my end.
