Well I have some bad news, Jeth's computer started acting up on him and he lost the new audio. Fortunately we hadn't recorded any new stuff so I had a copy of the files. But his work of coding them in was lost. So we have been set back slightly. Also due to his schedule becoming busier, I will be taking over the audio work.
So, announcement time! I am looking for some voice actors who can record their voice and help me make new audio for some of the new heroes and units. This is your chance to get your voice into the mod
Here is a list of the new audio we need. If you know of a mod or website that already has recorded one of the people on this list, please let me know.
CODE
Sauron
Theodred
Erkenbrand
Elfhelm
Grimbold
Alatar
Pallando
Men of the Westfold/Westfold Spearmen (I'm really just looking for a generic rohan soldier sound)
Beregond
Madril
Mablung
Damrod
Pelagir Spearmen
Lossarnach Axemen
Imrahil
Knights of Dol Amroth
If you would like to help, please record several voice samples (perhaps an attack, a move, and a select line for the unit of your choice) and send them to me via PM in .wav format (zipped is fine too). I don't have any specific lines for you to use for the voice samples but think about how the EA lines were written and try to emulate them
You can pick whatever unit on the list you'd like to for the voice sample.
If I like the way your voice sounds for either the unit you recorded or for another unit, I'll PM you and provide you with some lines to record. If I don't think your voice will work for any of the units (ie, too high or something...) then I'll PM you and let you know that too
Ideally I'd like to get 2-3 different lines for each unit for Attack, Move, Select, and maybe 1-2 flavor lines that could be used in any of the categories or for spawning. (Just to give you an idea of how many lines I'm looking for for the final result).
If you think that a current EA audio clip could be used for one of the units/heroes above, please PM me and let me know so that I can look into it. After all, the less audio we have to record, the better (and the faster we can finish the mod).
Thanks!
