Hi

I downloaded the rar for the latest version of SEE, And extracted the SEE folder to C:\ , I then extracted the SEE shortcut to desktop, and changed the target to

"C:\Program Files\Electronic Arts\The Battle for Middle-earth ™ II\lotrbfme2.exe" -mod "C:\SEE"

and the start in to

"C:\Program Files\Electronic Arts\The Battle for Middle-earth ™ II"

I tried opening SEE, It didnt work, it merely stayed at the splash screen, So i closed that and tried running the program as Run as Administrator, which also had the smae problem

My OS is windows vista
I downloaded the latest version of SEE
I have BFME2:The Collectors Edition
BFME2 is patched to the latest patch
It is a Legit game

I tried reinstalling but that didnt work either

Also i have no custom maps

EDIT: I have now moved the SEE folder and changed the target path accordingly( i changed it to my bfme2 files in app data)

(do you really NEED to play BFME2 with the gobal warming situation ??? )

SEE must go to your application data folder :p

Reinstall the game, put the complete SEE to the application data, my bfme2 folder, and run see with the -mod SEE

In your first post you say -mod "C:\SEE" ; it can only be -mod SEE, no quotes, no path

How long did you wait?

When I first tried, I had to wait like half an hour before the splash screen went away. So just leave your computer for a while and come back later.

Also, this thread might help.

Hi did anyone ever find a fix for this problem? As I now have the same one, have the legit collectors edition of BFMEII and the game gets stuck at the splash screen, so does the SEE mod. Tried installing legit ROTWK as well and that has the same problem. Its really annoying me now as I have played all 3 versions of the game on the same laptop I am trying to now before and they all worked without a problem. By the way, I also have Vista installed! If anyone did find a fix for it please share as I really want to play this mod again!

Well, I now appear to have a seperate problem, my cd is in the drive, i click the shortcut and i get insert the correct cd (for original BFME, SEE and have even tried swapping disks to ROTWK) even if i open the autorun from inside the cd, click on cd icon at the my computer screen i get the same message! Really confused now! I just want to play SEE! So cant tell if i still get stuck at the splash screen but i would imagine so.

Trying uninstalling and re-installing the games that won't work, then uninstall and re-install the mod.
