I saw The Scorpion King last night. Had some nice fighting scenes. My mom didn't like it though

Why do corporations insist on making sequels to every fucking halfway decent film? Kung Fu Panda had absolutely no need of a sequel. My only remaining hope is that nobody ever, ever, EVER tries to make a sequel to Watchmen.
I hope I am a good enough writer that some day dwarves kill me and drink my blood for wisdom.

Because they're easy money. Filmmakers, and game developers as well, need this easy money to fund the more interesting, more risky projects. Why do corporations insist on making sequels to every fucking halfway decent film? Kung Fu Panda had absolutely no need of a sequel.

Kung fu Panda is a children's film...
Children love it..
They don't neccesarily see the whole picture..
Just look at other children movies... there's often tons of them.. like Moomin (my childhood addiction) have like a gazillion movies!
or family film, whatever.. I thought it was good...

Donnie Darko has a sequel. I wouldn't touch that trash with a barge pole.

Agreed with the above, Donnie Darko was great but its sequel is horrible.
