I did hear Tropic Thunder was less good than it was said to be, but I still want to see it some time...
...along with about a hundred other movies.

All people who like movies, btw, should go to http://checkmovies.com. It's an online movie checklist of sorts, where you compete with other movie fans for the most checks, and it's very addicting.

Ironman? Wasn't that great to be honest.

I thought Iron Man was pretty good. I would recommend 'A Fish Called Wanda', which I just found out won an Oscar, got nominated for two more and was voted the 37th funniest film of all time by someone or other. I'd say that's about right, if you're English and/or appreciate John Cleese's sense of humour. Basically, four people pull a jewel heist and are, in pairs, planning to double-cross each other, but it all goes wrong, and then a lawyer (Cleese) gets involved and everything gets way out of control in a wonderfully entertaining way. I haven't watched anything else recently.

Tropic Thunder was pretty funny. Not great, but not bad. In terms of American comedy, I'm a Judd Apatow fan. :crazed:
I hope I am a good enough writer that some day dwarves kill me and drink my blood for wisdom.

3-D should not be allowed to exist. Those stupid cardboard glasses they hand out give me headaches, and the 3-D effects don't add much to a movie, frankly... wake me up when they actually get full VR, and then I'll wear the darn glasses.

Indeed... It's a nice extra, but not worth it imo. What's wrong with a 2D movie?
It has been reported that some victims of rape, during the act, would retreat into a fantasy world from which they could not WAKE UP. In this catatonic state, the victim lived in a world just like their normal one, except they weren't being raped. The only way that they realized they needed to WAKE UP was a note they found in their fantasy world. It would tell them about their condition, and tell them to WAKE UP. Even then, it would often take months until they were ready to discard their fantasy world and PLEASE WAKE UP
