As you may have heard the 4th beta will be changing Dale significantly.

With them focusing less on adaptive,"jack of all trades" style gameplay and more of an elite unit focus.
This change has been naturally happening with Dale since I introduced the Marksman.
The below information is for the 4th beta.
Most will not happen till then but some changes will be done for 0.35.

Dale's Tech Tree:



Units -
(From the Dale Barracks)
Dale Swordsmen - 200,upgrades = Basic Training,Forged Blades,Dale Shields,Heavy Armour
Dale Spearmen - 500,upgrades = Basic Training,Forged Blades,Dale Shields,Heavy Armour
Esgaroth Marshall - 800
- Horn of Esgaroth - stuns nearby enemies with fear
- replenish battalion - nearby hordes are replenish of lost troops
Level 3 - To the Defences - summons a horde of Esgaroth Defenders that are bound to the marshall

Dale Bowmen - 350 (renamed Archers),upgrades = Basic Training,Fire Arrows,Heavy Armour
Dale Marksman - 600
- Dwarven Arrow - deals 150 damage and knockback

(from Dale Stable)
Dale Cavalry - 800,upgrades = Basic Training,Forged Blades,Dale Shields,Heavy Armour

Beorning Fury - 800
- Bear Form

Beorning Druid - 600
- Bear Friend - summons a Bear to battle
Level 2 - Bear Loyalty - the bear gains +50% armour

Woodman Protector - 500,upgrades = Basic Training,Fire Arrows

Erebor Axe Warriors - available from the Rhovanion Allies
Mirkwood Spearmen - available from the Rhovanion Allies
Esgaroth Defender - available from the Marshall's summon spell

- Horse Bane - deals heavy damage to cavalry and unmounts Heroes
- Monster Bane - deals lethal damage to Monsters

Radsvirr
- Start Campfire - builds a campfire that heals nearby units
- Wolf Scout - summons a Wolf to scout for you
- Change Hue - Stealth


Prince Bard
- Weapon Toggle
- Black Arrow
- Bard Leadership
- Train Archers
- Summon Hawk - summons a Hawk that can be used as a scout
- Barrage - Bard fires off a volley of Arrows in an area.



King Brand
- Terror Strike - a melee attack that causes terror in nearby units
- Leadership - +50% armour,+50% experience
- King's Favour - targeted units gain experience
- Fervour - nearby units gain a large attack boost for a short time


Bard the Bowman
- available from the Bard the Bowman spell
(this is a special heroes from the past kind of spell similar to the GilGalad spell for Rivendell)
The Black Arrow - a deadly arrow that does heavy damage to all unit types but Siege and Buildings
Bloodline of Kings - leadership ability - gives +50% armour,double damage and fear resistance to nearby troops
Arrow of Fate - gains a very short attack boost for this next attack - Bard gains 300% attack for the next couple seconds.

Arrow of Fate is unlocked after an upgrade is acquired more information on this later.

Damn triple post.
Oh well it serves a purpose.

Below I will list the tech tree for Erebor as it stands at the moment.
Erebor is constantly being changed and the tech tree doesn't stay current for long as I continue making changes to make them more like I want.
So I will try and update this as changes are made.
Feedback on Erebor's Tech Tree will be welcome as it's definitely the hardest faction for me to design.

Since Dale is an archer-ey faction, the final power could be a MASSIVE volley of arrows in one area, killing pretty much any unit but doing little to structures...

I think I've finally come up with the final power for Dale.

Prophecy

An ancient prophecy is fulfilled and the hearts of Northmen are filled with hope and vigour.

King Brand and Prince Bard gain +300 Health,+50% Health Recovery,-50% Spell recharge time.
Dale Swordsmen,Dale Archers,Dale Spearmen and Dale Marksmen all gain +20 Health,can recover health and become immune to fear.
Bard the Bowman gains a new attack called Prophetic Shot, an attack which does massive damage to monsters like Ents,Balrog etc.

This ability is a passive one and the benefits are permanent.
As you can see the effects of this spell might be a bit much to fit in the description so for reference it'll be here and in the read me.

I'm working on some changes to Dale's spell list.

I've got planned 2 new spells planned and adding Shroud to their list.

Heal
Birds of Rhosgobel
Ancient Woods
Great Harvest
Shroud
Bard the Bowman
Cloud Break
Fortitude - powers up spells Heal also buffs armour,Birds reveals the whole map,Ancient Woods effects heroes,
Winds of Change
Fortify - heals all structures and increases their armour (new custom models for the structures)
Eagle Allies
Prophecy
