They are the speed you can send and receive data to/from that server. Assuming that it has a better connection than you, this should be the same as your real internet speed. But it's not involved in the rest of your internet usage. When Banshee switched to another server, he didn't change his internet or internet speed.

I really don't do requests and my Arnor Soldier is not fit for BFME. Don't ask me for either.

Must try at my uni sometime... They're supposedly the fastest ISP in the country and get it straight from the cables before it goes to Telstra and other resellers. They also have easy methods of bypassing their download meters and a steam server, so downloading games and torrenting large files is pretty efficient there.
Pity my home connection still sucks :( (1.5 when feeling lucky)

Wouldn't go so far as to call Bosnia a thirld-world country. It's not one of the richest, but far from thirld-world.
It has been reported that some victims of rape, during the act, would retreat into a fantasy world from which they could not WAKE UP. In this catatonic state, the victim lived in a world just like their normal one, except they weren't being raped. The only way that they realized they needed to WAKE UP was a note they found in their fantasy world. It would tell them about their condition, and tell them to WAKE UP. Even then, it would often take months until they were ready to discard their fantasy world and PLEASE WAKE UP

It still amuses me that those of us in the UK seem to score consecutively the lowest, despite paying above the odds. I had a Latvian guest less than month ago, and he was laughing at how much we paid for how shit the service we got was.

I swear I get the feeling I'm living in a third world country. This is what you get from state monopolies!
If I lived in the city, about 20-30 mins (by car) from my house, I'd easily get a 30+ Mb/s line, but out here they don't even have glass fiber construction scheduled!

I had a fibre optic connection last year that cost me £35 a month ("50mb" Virgin Media line, useless bastards), and I still didn't get speeds better than that.

Amusingly, I switched to a normal copper line connection (20mb BeThere) which is cheaper and I'm now getting a much better connection, usually at least a download speed of 8mb.

ADSL at work. We have to share this with about 10 people. Unfortunately cable is not available and fibre optic is damn expensive.

This is the most basic broadband with Time Warner Cable...
I don't get why those damned ISP's have to make uploading so crappy... It's not like I download torrents... :thumbsupsmiley:
