[Moulds]

Yo, i haven't had a pc worthy of gaming in over a year. So i recently downloaded the current version version 1.1..
---In my mods folder(default for me) i can launch PR and all looks well until i launch the GC game. It freezes. So frozen i have to hold in the power button on my PC for crash shut-off. lol

----So that's my question/problem--Can launch but can't start the GC game..

--ALSO, i was launching from the shortcut in mods folder, then i moved the batch file to the main folder & the same thing happened...
-ALSO 2.0--I re-installed PR and nothing changed....
-I appreciate the assistance & this awesome mod.

Have you tried launching it from the EaW/FoC Mod Launcher? There's a program that I'll find the link to later for you. PR would know more about why it's crashing but my guess is that you need some sort of decent specs on your PC, not overboard, just 'game-able'. But for a more definitive answer, wait for one of the PR team to answer, or why not check out some older threads to see if this problem has occurred before.

Thanks for the reply bro. Yeah i read the older post and posted in one of em...

-I just re-read my post(above) and it sounded like my pc was not worthy to game on & i downloaded PR anyways..
----I jacked up my wifes PC with RAM(over a gig), well, atleast enough to game with..

--My FOC/mod folder is getting sloppy. I also have UEAW too & that runs smooth, but it's repetitive & outdated(for me anyways).. I'm hoping i don't have to re-install the game & then the mod. It would be a major headache to remember where the h*ll i put the CD's..

-OT- I spent two days trying unsuccessfully to locate a no cd crack because i couldn't find my FOC play disk. I found it, but it wasn't with the other disks...

PR, or anyone with insight--Can you also tell me what i can do, short of buying/upgrading my PC to make the mod run better? i know to turn most of the graphics to minimal. Last time i played PR it was right after the mod was finished. Post mini-mod era.. And it was killing me with lag...

--FOR THE RECORD- YES! This mod will be the driving force behind me getting a new PC alltogether.

-So should i launch the game & just wait? 20 minutes if need be?

Close down any unnecessary background programs, unessential services, etc. It may free up some more RAM for ya.

Also, you can try increasing your page file on your HDD. If I remember correctly, when RAM runs out, the computer can use the page file to supplement. It's not as fast or effective as RAM, but it might help. Not as much as a new PC, but hey. Man doesn't piss money. Or, at least, not mega-rich people don't piss money.

And yes, UEaW is repetitive and outdated, because there hasn't been any new content in like a year. And no news to make you want it more...With PR, you get relatively frequent mid-version updates and news. Yay!
