I've heard they're doing something new with Farscape... a movie, or reboot... I forget which.  Which is good, since that show is nuts in all the right ways.  I miss a good psychotic space adventure being on television.  But, I wouldn't necessarily call that intro music 'awesome'.  It works well with the visuals and theme, which is crazy space people.  But still a great TV intro.  I never skipped it.

Also, I may have blasphemed slightly:

Oh, Firefly's tune. Oh, this topic's making me happily nostalgic.

Haven't seen the series but I like the music. On another note, that's a really big cast.

Yeah, it's certainly a cast-intensive show. There are at least 10 characters centric to the action, with another 30 or so that you need to have a general idea of in order to fully understand what exactly is going on. :p

Bit like game of thrones, just more self-centered and royalty-pandering :p

Are you kidding me?  That's so biased... ER's opening music is just 90's filler fluff.  Now here's a proper show's opening music:

I would post the opening from Sidonia no Kishi here to continue with the theme, but YouTube has been very diligent in removing it...

The orientals are very dedicated in keeping their awful music and games to themselves.

I'm not sorry about that, for a lot of anime, etc.

Slightly veering off TV music, I've been playing the Back to the Future game.  It's a really good story... I dunno why it got bad ratings.  But there's a ditsy dame in it by the name of Trixy Trotter.  She's a singer from Hill Valley back in the 1920's, and boy-oh-boy, she's a doll.  Probably one of my favorite female protagonists.  And she's got a real tap in her step with her hit song, "I Don't Care."  I really dig it.

Great bit of music, though I couldn't find the original full length CD version with real church organ unfortunately. And another source where ol' Lloyd Webber might have nicked his Phantom of the Opera tune. :p

I loved the dark organ bit more than the rest, but it's all pretty swish.  The kids were a bit strange... I'm concerned Webber had them sweating in a corner the whole time for that 10 second part.

And that bit from AC3 was pretty good.  There's a surprising amount of music in AC that I don't really care for, as all the good stuff is just brief.  Here's an example of a great snippet that I enjoy from the franchise, but it's incredibly short:
