Not a bad song that one. Might have to check out that Everlast guy. Also reminds me that I have to keep eyes on Warrel Dane (previously ) of Nevermore, to see if he is on his way to create something new.

Anyway, didn't find this single before now, but I like it. Looking forward for the day they release their next album, whenever that might be :good:

My lord. This one hit the epic-nerve with me. The beginning is just perfect. Bear mccreary must go down in history as one of our greatest composers

Now I want to learn the accordion. My grandfather played it, though he did not play these sort of epic tunes.

Oh well, my children will be trained in the art of accordion and other instruments. It is too late for me to reach these levels of epicness.

the last one there was good entertainment :p

Figured I'd post some girl with the dragon tattoo music, since Trent Reznor is the guy that made it. One of the better songs from the main soundtrack is this one

It is used at the ending, and I really like that melancholic feeling it has.

but you can't post gwtdt music without the opening song, since the 3d in it is made by Blur, our favorite 3d-animation intro studio :p. It also promptly sums up the story of the books.

I looooove the guitar in this song.

The last two has been consumed by the great separator. beyond that, the other songs sounds vaguely 90s to me. I sure hope the 90s isn't going to become the new 60s/70s.

Anyway, me and my blasphemous sense of music got word of some band named Feed Me, which does pretty polished dubstep/electronic and other things. lets see if we can embed soundcloud here.

http://soundcloud.co...-from-electric/

no we couldn't, might be something to look at.

Thought I read something about a revival of the 90s. I hope its lifespan won't be longer than a common flu.

Also, dunno if I've posted this one before, but it booted up as I rebooted Firefox, so here's the princess Mononoke theme song:

Also, while we do ghibli movies, Castle in the sky(starts around 2mins ):

Just to make the previous stuff I posted a bit more available, here's one of my favs from this Feedme-guy, one click headshot:

If there is a resurgence in 90's style and music it would be part of the style cycle (what I call it).
Whenever things get too artificial in the mainstream there's usually a movement against it.
Like Hendrix, Beatles and Stones after the clean shaven 50's and early 60's then the Punk movement, then the Grunge movement after all the glam of the 80's I think we are due for the alternative.
Truth be told there's been little to interest me in music these last few years.
Only 2 bands interested me and one of them (Be your own Pet) broke up after their second album.
Speaking of which...

Well I can agree that mainstream music is probably shit. I've not listened to "pop" or whatnot since we lost mtv for the voice in 2001(mtv was downgoing by then, but it at least had other things than crappy music 24/7). Luckily there's plenty of other things around out there on the uncontrolled internets, so I'm pretty content nonetheless.

These music for programming() songs are pretty good for filling up a day with background noise. I wonder if we can embed mp3-files into the forum:

http://datashat.net/music_for_programming_1-datassette.mp3

Sweet, it worked. but the [Media] tag icons are gone in this new forum version. Luckily, I am so smart, s-m-r-t, that I remembered how to write it :thumbsupcool:

Just to prove I'm not all about the crazy dubstep and whatnot electronic thats around these days, here is a commercial for Arjen's next album, Lost in the New Real. Coming out 22 april in Europe, might have to get a signed version.

http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=hVJSvW80CyU

I have to say he is getting older, but whoever listened to Arjen because of his rugged looks :p

Beyond that, I've discovered Bandcamp, which have a lot of easily available music(love tags, I wish mp3s had tag encoding inherent to them). I dunno if I can embed bandcamp things, so I'll just link a few albums:

http://jimguthrie.ba...he-space-babies
should probably have tried this game(sword & sworcery), the music is quite cool. 8-bitty.

http://c-jeff.bandca...eschtale-part-2
Prog-rock 8-bit music from Russia. If you are into prog (Dream theater etc. ) and games this is a album of smiling WTF :p.

http://zirconstudios...bum/antigravity
of course, some electronic I've found as well, this one is pretty good: "Regardless of style, zircon continues to apply stunning attention to detail in his complex sonic textures and dynamic songwriting, which draws its inspiration from artists like BT, Prodigy, Chemical Brothers, Fatboy Slim, The Crystal Method, Ils, Pendulum, and others. "

http://musicstore.ga...lbum/inmomentum
And lastly, this game has some pretty sweet music too. #6 Reminds me of Yoko Kanno's soundtrack for Ghost in the shell
