Oh my... an unexpected leg of greatness came before me when I sampled this track from Deus Ex: Human Revolution. Another accomplishment in the bounds of gaming and music.

Anyway, some James Newton Howard music from the hunger games movie. JNH is a pretty good composer, this movie is not an exception there.

Anyway, another hunger games song. Not much of a spoiler in the name of it, but its sort of a spoiler. It is also in one of the more emotive parts of the film, where you get to see some cracks in the facade of many things.
The good part is around 2.45, but the beginning is nice for the mood.

First heard in assassins creed 3 trailers, the former web-designer gone director/musician have made some nice music and videos.
It seems he's a prodigy in whatever field he focuses on. Do like the mood he has in the music here, "Run boy run" reminds me a bit about Moby among other things.

Anyway, Metal time this time of year: Discovered Five Finger Death Punch a month or so back. Their two last albums are pretty good, and I like their noisy but melodic/epic style.
Here we have the song I first thought "huh, this isn't half bad", so here we go(even though the music video is a bit meh)
Here we have one from their last album American Capitalist. Not the sort of message you expect in a metal music video(or is it? ):
Edit:
And just to top the evening off: A song for all the nerds out there

The epic written for the narrator for the recent awesome puzzle game, Deponia. The song was originality written in German, but it's confusing enough in English. Regardless, it's awesome.

Meh, I don't have much care for music. It's primitive. But I have the ability to recognize creativity and perspectives from song as an outsider to the world or rhythm. And I also believe I have a keen ability to create some really good music set to the right settings. I specifically had to study music to understand what people like and how they feel to certain paced frequencies, and I think I have a really rad understanding. Now if only this music stuff was easy to make...
BUT, if I had a choice, I would prefer my personality to be reflected by the gothic music of old, with the grand organ and choirs in harmony. There isn't enough of that sort of stuff... but 20th century American Masterpeice Records is a second good option:
Daffer.

Yes it does sound like a miniature musicmaker. It's Indie. And I like Indie.

This song is........ meh. I can compare it to The Killer's new album, Battle Born. The Killers have made phenomenal music, and I think its due to the fact it's got an old time twang to it mixed with dark emotional beats and lyrical themes. But people have claimed not to like their new album, and I can see why. It's all love songs. All of them. The dark emotional stuff that made them is completely lacking in it, and it backfired on them. This can go for The Saltwater Room as well. Owl City has had a plethora of love songs, like everyone else, and their lyrics and chords are all too familiar and outworn on mortal ears... and mine. The world is in dire demand for anything but love songs, and they probably don't even realize it. Dukie has posted some great songs on this forum and that's because most of his are, one, not love songs and, two, not well known groups. It's something different, something good, and it works. We need more songs like The Vast Glubs out there.

What makes Owl City's love songs nice was the fact that it doesn't include sex, drugs and lust.
Yes. WE WANT VARIETY. Soon I won't feel the same level of air-fairy love but rather want something deeper, which doesn't include much music. Different things in our lives to make it interesting as we develop. But I decided to post my epic song. At least it was better than Dubstep. ahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahhhahahaaaa.

To be honest, I prefer dubstep to that song . It reminded me of pineapple thief just less polished.
