I love the mod, I love the complexity, but two things are driving me nuts. The research is taking insanely long so Ive been forced to turn several planets into research centers. Is there any way to speed it up?

And two I love how your trying to put the planets in correct locations but by doing so its almost impossible to select certain planets and get fleets and troops to go where you want. The compactness of the planets is very frustrating.

Certain heroes can speed up research, however I don't think any of the ones that can are implemented yet (I don't play GC much).

Other than that as far as I know there's no planned changes to the research system.

If I recall they're going to resize the galaxy again, making it bigger, so this won't be an issue.

Those heros would be most helpful considering it took me hours to research the dreadnought alone.

Well, you pretty much have to have more than one research planet, if only because of the interface. Heroes with motivation or motivation (research) will speed it up though (Mothma or Palpatine in v1.1).

Game time also seems to artificially slow down for bigger campaigns, so that doesn't help... I may artificially speed it up for the next release to compensate. It shouldn't take hours to research anything - 15 minutes max is what I have specified.

And two I love how your trying to put the planets in correct locations but by doing so its almost impossible to select certain planets and get fleets and troops to go where you want. The compactness of the planets is very frustrating.

Galaxy size will go from 600% vanilla to 800%, so hopefully that will be big enough.

If that's the new Atlas, it could have been changed from an old one, and the info wasn't available when v1.1 was released.

Or, PR and Ghost are just lazy. Bad, bad modders. Hiss.

Yes Bob - it's terrible putting out a new campaign and re-writing the old ones to incorporate all the new ideas :good: . I'd hate to think what your definintion of hard work is....lol. :p

Hey - we like the new atlas. I think some planets got their positions changed anyways. As always, it's a work in progress.

Besides, we have been focussed on new stuff recently like all the new planets for Operation Skyhook for a start (and the other older campaigns are alse being revised), so keep an eye out for future news on this topic. There is a LOT more yet to tell you.

Tell you what, though, as a bonus I'll ask the testing teams to report back on the new galaxy scale along with the campaign reports I have requested. How's that?? :good:

Ghost.
