The new World of Warcraft Faction Change service is now live. As we mentioned previously, we've been in the process of developing a new service for World of Warcraft that will allow players to change their faction from Alliance to Horde or Horde to Alliance for a fee. After purchasing a Faction Change for a character, a player can choose any race of the opposite faction that is compatible with the character’s class. For more information on the Faction Change service, please read the FAQ, or visit the Faction Change page to get started.
Based on further community feedback, we have also decided to offer a race change service in the future. Players who choose to switch races will be able to change their race within their same faction and class. Additional details will be released at a future date.

Careful. This link is DANGEROUS. Do NOT click it. This one, however, is fine.
I had the meaning of life in my signature, but it exceeded the character limit.

Never played wow, but that's a cool feature. I've enjoyed similar systems in other MMOs... Wish I could think of an example.

You mean, anyone who is Horde wouldn't want to?

For real though, I remember when I first started playing the big deal was "pick factions wisely 'cuz you don't get to change"... now this doesn't matter AT ALL.
If you meet me:
Have some courtesy,
Have some sympathy,
And some taste.
Use all your well-learned politesse,
Or I'll lay your soul to waste.

Like I said, I'll have more input if someone wants to pay for the games for me.

My ideal game wouldn't have "ideal builds" though. You would be able to be just as good as the other people without having to follow all the little rules. I wish someone would make a flexible, casual MMO for me. But that's not what most people want. Or at least, everyone who plays MMOs likes the way they are.
I hope you can understand me. I seem to be having trouble forming words today.

Much better than grinding things such as doing daily for reputation..same and same again everyday.

No way! I can't believe someone is changing to Alliance, they suck! Anyway, it does destroy the whole game tbh, MMO's are meant to be about decisions, you shouldn't be able to change tbh. But look at it from Blizzards point of view, their getting $30.00 every time someone changes, that's like someone buying the game, or 3 and half months subscription fee! It's win win for them!
Well said Digz.
it kind of destroy RPG character decisions since character re-customization.
P.S sry Digz i made wrong click i want to reply to you comment but it turn to i edit it..i fixed it now

And unfortunately, retail doesn't have crossfaction stuff like a private server i used to play on. (Everything was crossfaction, guilds, raids, you get the idea)

but it got to say it is useful tools for some people who want to change faction without start from 1,but i think players should be pround of their character and if you character still low lv it not worth to change it.

I still enjoy Galidor Quest.
Sounds kinda cool, but I would never pay $30 for it. But the whole game's far to expensive for me anyway. I don't play enough for it to be worth it. I usually stick to one-time purchases.
Hey, does anyone know if this feature requires cataclysm? Or will it be available to all players? Not sure which would give Blizzard more money...

I'm mostly a PvE player but GW's pvp is so good, I've even started liking it now lol.
But back on topic, this new thing is rubbish and it's just destroyed the whole thing about Alliance vs Horde, you can choose whatever and it wouldn't make a difference, I thought the two factions was the best part about WoW.
