For a few years now, there has been talk of creating a Revora Magazine. Quite recently this idea was picked up by our staff. A dedicated team has worked on it for a while, under the effective leadership of Dancam, and now, after all this time, the magazine has become reality!

You're probably wondering what this whole thing is about and it'd be a pretty good question. Keeping it simple, we are a representation of the wider community here at Revora. In this monthly online magazine, we will be highlighting the best project and mod related work going on out there, give you a greater insight into the minds of those keeping this place alive and hopefully have a little bit of fun along the way. I hope you'll take the time to read through the articles that we've put together for you and that they will keep you interested enough to check out our work in the following months as well.

Read the first issue of the Revora Magazine.

I may participate in that logo contest. The content so far looks alright, but you need to work on presentation, though you already told me that's covered for the next issues.

Looks pretty cool so far actually. Better than I was actually anticipating it to be when I opened this thread. And that's not intending to be disrespectful, either - my family motto of "Expect nothing, and you shall never be disappointed" probably played a major role.

I will express a minor worry that if one month is pretty quiet this might fizzle out a bit (I know it would if I was running the show, lol), or that you won't be able to cobble enough content together regularly enough to make a full feature (as writing fiction to deadline is the work of either idiots or professional career-writers). I suppose it just so happened you had a busy month or two with the new division and stuff.

But if you're sure you can overcome that, and you would like the odd review doing of a game (I would hesitate to commit to mods, because content would fast dry up and I don't own a great many games that Revora hosts mods for) then I'm happy to oblige.

Good work guys :p

Nice, good job :p
It has been reported that some victims of rape, during the act, would retreat into a fantasy world from which they could not WAKE UP. In this catatonic state, the victim lived in a world just like their normal one, except they weren't being raped. The only way that they realized they needed to WAKE UP was a note they found in their fantasy world. It would tell them about their condition, and tell them to WAKE UP. Even then, it would often take months until they were ready to discard their fantasy world and PLEASE WAKE UP

Cool it's done, reading now.
I am a bit disappointed that the Rob38 interview didn't get in.
But looks good maybe some more images and just make it nicer overall.
What if we make a website solely for the Magazine.

I think that the magazine should be used to make Revora site more interesting and attractive. A strong network starts with a strong frontpage.

Y'know, I think that people should actually comment on the substance of the magazine rather than the endless comments of "Oh, there's a magazine. Good." :)

Careful. This link is DANGEROUS. Do NOT click it. This one, however, is fine.

A bit more about modding would be nice. Why not add most of the hosted mods news, write a couple of sentences about it, and add a link to their respective forums? Along with the spotlighted mods, it'll make the magazine a bit more about modding.

I believe that's also on the way for the next issue.

as writing fiction to deadline is the work of either idiots or professional career-writers

Which one would you say I am? :) Anyone like to comment on said works of fiction? The idea was to carry on with them if they're popular, but knowing if they're popular takes a little feedback.
I hope I am a good enough writer that some day dwarves kill me and drink my blood for wisdom.
