Where would a new modder go to ask questions about modding?.
There's modding news and general discussion there's not really anyone can ask questions.

Oh yeah, I was wondering about that. It needs some question forums.

Agreed. Digz, can I get a "Warcraft 3 Jobs, Questions, and Ideas" forum here? :p

Careful. This link is DANGEROUS. Do NOT click it. This one, however, is fine.

*begins compiling a list of wanted forums*

I think a requests and ideas forum might work better to just be generic for Blizzard (or one that covers all RTSs, maybe,) so an idea can be posted and the appropriate game can be found.

That's pretty much how it is at t3a, and it works very well. However, Starcraft and Warcraft are of such different genres that it seems like it would be pretty obvious which game to use.

But a general modding forum, for questions and whatnot, will definitely be needed for each game.

I think also a generic blizzard news should be separate from modding news, news about hosted mods.

Three other forums I think would benefit Iceforge that t3a has are the Showcase, Off-Topic, and Tournaments/Games. Some things that would belong there have popped up in the general game forums, I've noticed.

Starcraft 2 Modding
Starcraft 2 Jobs, Requests and Ideas.
Starcraft 2 Tournaments and Games

Warcraft 3 Modding
Warcraft 3 Jobs, Requests and Ideas.
Warcraft 3 Tournaments and Games

World of Warcraft Modding
World of Warcraft Jobs, Requests and Ideas.
World of Warcraft Tournaments and Games

Iceforge News [hosted mod news]

Blizzard Games Showcase
"Off-Topic"

Those Starcraft Forums aren't really needed until the game comes out.

And of course Diablo and any other games will have all the same forums when it's added.

Off topic isn't really necessary either, but I think it adds to the community.

So what's the news on this?

It's time to start fleshing out this division.
Once everything is set up I'll start looking into submitting some stuff.

Is there a site for this division yet?.
