They usually cost about 30-60 in British money, depending on your wattage choice. I expect it'll be a lot cheaper over there, tho.

About how much do they cost?? Man im gonna need to get a job :p Didn't know i had to upgrade a bunch of stuff.

Depends on what you get. As your wattage goes up, price goes up. I bought an Antec 550W for $90 about six months ago and it works perfectly. I'd recommend that range if you get the same card I did, but you may need more depending on how high you push the video card.

Piece of advice. Do not just buy the cheapest one. They're cheap for a reason... chiefly because they don't fucking last very long. Spend more to get better quality. You can find quality for a good price though. It's not hard.

What kind of motherboard do you have? RAM slots don't generally come multi-colored. At least... as far as I know.

Check your motherboard manual. In my experience, the colors represent the order in which your motherboard reads the RAM. Let's assume that your black slots are 1-A and 1-B and the blue are 2-A and 2-B. The motherboard will look for modules in 1-A and 1-B first. If it doesn't find a module in 1-B it may just stop checking there, ignoring 2-A and 2-B. This is only a possibility though, coming from what my Asus motherboard does. Yours may respond to the RAM slots differently.

Also, for buying a PSU, I'd heavily recommend Corsair or PC Power & Cooling brand PSUs

EDIT: Here's a better PSU calculator

Holy CRAP!! 1200W PSU. Anyways i can't find my motherboard manual, can't i just open it up and see which kind it is? Usually everything inside the comp has a sticker saying what type of brand it is and a bunch of other stuff.

That you have to look at manually, but the OP was asking about motherboard, which you don't need to open your case to find out.

I'm almost 100 percent that you can't change out PSUs on a laptop. I could be mistaken but I'm pretty sure. You don't want to open a laptop either. I should get pictures of the one we have at the house right now. It's taken apart and shit is everywhere. So many screws. x_x

Tell me about it. We tried to take apart my old laptop. Jeez, it's got so many bells and whistles, screws and god-only-knows-whats it was unimaginable. All I ended up doing was making half of my keyboard not work!

Keep in mind that you can't use DDR3 is your motherboard doesn't support it.

Hope you enjoy wasting money if you get DDR3 memory then. Your mobo isn't compatible.

This is your mobo, right?
