I say I'm with Destroyer here. And as much as I want this topic dropped, people keep bringing it up. Now, I've been warned a total of 3 times. That's it. But what if I accidentally flame a huge amount or something that was meant as a joke? Some Mod might walk by, see that, and think I'm flaming. Insta-warn. Now, I understand it might be my fault for not saying it was a joke or anything, but it's nigh impossible to convoy tone on the internet, isn't it?
Well, there is my argument.
A changed man is only the same man with a different outlook of life.

Well, if it's an extravagant flame it would probably be taken out of context... but knowing you, if you weren't serious there would be half a million emoticons scattered throughout, which might clue whoever sees it off...

I agree with Destroyer and SWG here. That logic just doesn't work for me.

Indeed. Remember, we're people too, we generally know those who are friends and are just messing around. If a mod takes something out of context, talk to them. Communication, people.

Then you deserve the punishment.

As Redwall books might say: Simple Mole Logic. ;) (Minus the mole thing here, but you get my point. :p )

Is quoting Redwall worth an instant warn? If not, I vote that this system is flawed.

Ringy, if you accidentally flame you'll get warned and then hopefully you won't do it again. If you flame a lot you'll get suspended, and you'll have only yourself to blame. I don't see the problem here.
I hope I am a good enough writer that some day dwarves kill me and drink my blood for wisdom.

In your opinion. Not mine.
I don't see how you can accidentally flame - if you took a hilarious joke too far then why wouldn't you deserve to be warned, and stay warned for a while? It's not just a punishment for an act, but a deterrent.

But still, joke or not, the Redwall series isn't THAT bad. And yeah, I guess. Now lets drop the very stupid topic I brought up with the very bad argument.

Go suck a bag of dicks, Elven. A whole damn bag. You know, one of those old, paper grocery shopping bags? Imagine one of those, filled with dicks, and you having to suck each and every one of them.

Take that, you swine!

How far off topic does this thread need to go before it's split or locked?
Hostile is a cunt.

Thought I'd have that here to save time.

If a warning is issued, usually there was a link to the thread that caused the suspension in the warn. Yet I have none because there were none to link to.

Imagine that...

TOPICS - Everyone has the freedom to post in any topics they wish no matter how old they are. Please do not feel obliged to create new topics just because the previous topics are a few years old, if they are related to what you want to post you may revive them. Revora also allows topics to develop and evolve, so don't worry about strictly keeping on topic, as long as it’s slightly relevant or related it is fine to post.

Not exactly an invitation to go off-topic but yeah. What do you want to do if people just want to keep discussing? I don't think locking the topic or deleting subsequent messages which are related somehow is a better solution.

Read my post again.

I think Hostile inadvertently raises a good point, do all warns have a cogent reason with a link to the offending post/thread to justify it?
