LS = Leadership! All hero leadershop should be generic and to the corresponding units give: +25% armor, +50% damage and earn experience +100% faster. Heroes don't need passive button for this (due to space limitations of only 5 slots). All heroes will be lvl 10 from start!
Str = Structure to spawn from!
* = List of powers....

Rules/guidelines for adding heroes in SEE:
#1: They have to be visible in the movies! If not, see rule #2
#2: They have to have a prominent role in the lore!
#3: No more powers than needed to make hero somewhat unique. Powers should be relevant for the caracter!
#4: If hero is not visible in the movies or thoroughly described in the books, we shall design the model based om Games Workshop's concepts!

* Istarii Light: Powerful beam of light that comes out of Gandalf's staff.
* Word of Power: Sends out a shockwave that blasts back enemies in a very large area.

- Aragorn
Str: Fortress
LS: All Humans & Elves
* Brego: Summon/dismount Brego. Requires Gondor Stables.
* Athelas: Heals nearby allied heroes.
* Blade Master: Aragorn gains +100% damage and armor for 30 seconds.
* Ancestral War Cry: Aragorn calls for Elendil that causes nerby enemy units to flee in terror.
* Blade of Kings: Aragorn will bear Anduril into battle, increasing his damage and armor with +25%. Allied heroes and Oathbreakers near Aragorn gain +10% damage and armor. Requires Gondor Armory, level 3.

- Boromir
Str: Fortress
LS: All Gondor units
* Horn of Gondor: The sound of this mighty horn stuns enemies with terror.
* Fiery Temper: Boromir gains +50% damage and speed for 30 seconds.
* Captain of Gondor (was "Train Solders"): Give targeted units experience.
* Last Stand (was "Glorious Death"): Boromir unleashes his last reserves to fight with increased fierceness (+100% damage and armor) for a short time after death should have embraced him.

- Faramir
Str: Archery Range, lvl 3
LS: Ithilien Rangers & Gondor Knights
* Knight of Gondor: Summon/dismount horse, using Gondor Knight armor with +100% (double) armor. Requires Gondor Stables.
* Toggle Weapon: Left click to toggle between bow and sword.
* Wounding Arrow: Single ranged attack that causes target to flee.
* Ride for Gondor: Faramir and nearby knights tripple their damage and can crush troops without slowing down for 30 seconds.

- Beregond
Str: Barracks, lvl 3
LS: Citadel Guard

- Pippin (With Citadel Guard upgrade, needing helmet model!)

LS: Hobbits
* Sword/Rock: Toggle between sword and rock throw mode.
* Elven Cloak: Pippin hides under his elven cloak and becomes invisible when standing still.
* Troll Bane: Pippin gets a massive bonus for 60 seconds while fighting trolls. +100% damage for the Attack Trolls of Mordor and +50% damage for all other trolls.

* Horse Lord (was "Rohirrim Rider"): Summon/dismount horse. Requires Rohan Stables.
* Outlaw Leadership: Nearby Rohirrim Cavalry earn resources per kill. Passive ability.
* Smite (was "Spear Throw"): Powerful ranged attack against a single target. +50% damage towards Mûmakil.

- Eowyn
Str: Fortress
LS: Peasants
* Rohirrim Rider: Summon/dismount horse. Requires Rohan Stables.
* Dernhelm: Eowyn disguise herself as a peasant or one of the Rohirrim, bequeathing invisibility in their vicinity.
* Smite: Powerful ranged attack against a single target. +50% damage towards Witch-king and Gothmog.
* Shield Maiden: Eowyn gains +50% armor. (Scrapped!)

- Theodred (Skin credit: Adamin of Edain mod!)

* Blades of Mirkwood (was "Knife Fighter"): Alternate melee attack with instant kill towards all orc units. Gives +25% armor.
* Bowmaster (was "Train Archers"): Targeted archers gain experience.
* Hawk Strike: Double arrow attack that gives +100% (double) damage and knockback even to monsters.
* Arrow Wind: Launch a continuous high speed volley of arrows, hitting multiple enemies.

- Thranduil (Maybe scrap and use powers for others? I don't like the model and he's not in the movies...)
Str: Archery Range/Barracks, lvl 3
LS: Mirkwood Archers
* Elven Cloak: Thranduil becomes invisible when standing still.
* Dead Eye: Temporarily grants a +100% (double) increase to ranged damage. (Give to Elrond?)
* Wild Walk: Allows Thranduil to shoot while moving and stil remain stealthed. (Give to Mirkwood Archers?)
* Move Unseen: Allows all targeted allies to become temporarily stealthed. (Give to Galadriel?)
* Thorn of Vengeance: A very high damage single shot attack. +100% (double) damage towards Fellbeasts.

- Galadriel & Celeborn (Celeborn as "slave unit" protecting Galadriel!)

* Lady of Light: Nearby enemies cannot move for a short period of time.

* Alernate Weapon: Left click to switch weapons.
* Golden Arrow: An extremely powerful ranged attack with instant kill that also stuns light-sensitive units in a small area close to the target.

* Lórien Steed: Summon/dismount horse. Requires the Green Pasture.
* Blade of Purity: Glorfindel gains +100% (double) damage and becomes invoulnerable for 10 seconds.

I think Pippin and Merry were better with men (Gondor and Rohan, respectively.) Especially in Rohan and Gondor are split, they'll need them.

Beregond could be a possible Gondor hero, if split, or, since this is a movie-mod, Damrod, maybe.

Gondor and Rohan is good add pippin to Gondor and Merry to Rohan. That makes sense right, they split.

I'm not sure about the bonus in Lothlorien, that is where Frodo and Sam belong. The elfes got lots of heroes already. What about putting Frodo and Sam somewhere else? In a less hero populated faction.

Erebor looks good, and yes Bilbo belongs there.

Mordor is very FULL, I don't know why you have to pump it with even more heroes. Who is Mollock? Is he really needed? Captain Jackson is ok.

Isengard looks good.

Rhun and Moria needs more heroes...they got few.

I'm glad many new topics are being opened regarding SEE progress! It's great to know that the mod is still running and is nearing completion!

I agree with the Merry/Pippin comments. They should be split. I'd like to see Beregond/Damrod/Madril for Gondor. Erkenbrand/Theodred for Rohan perhaps. This is probably going too far, but if isengard need heroes, how about Bill Ferny? It doesn't seem very neseccary though...

Anyway, this are just ideas and I understand that SEE isn't about cramming as many units/heroes into the game as possible... Good luck with the current list, can't wait for the release!

That's true... Ever since I started SEE I actually wanted to LESSEN the number of Heroes, since I envision this mod to be more about UNITS rather than heroes... but, with the increased number of units added, the desire and need to lessen the number of heroes shrunk. I still don't like heroes to be tanks, STUFFED with powerful abilities. I think the best way to use heroes are to make the units better! Meaning LEADERSHIP! My plan is to diversify all leadership bonuses as much as possible so each hero only give LD to proper units, and not nescessary the whole faction...

I also don't think all factions have to have the exact same number of heroes. I like to diversify in many aspects, and that's one of them. Just because some faction has this many heroes, those units, that machine and those powers doesn't mean that another faction will have to have something to correspond to ech and every thing =P It's more exciting that way... 5-7 heroes per faction feels pretty ok. Those that have many more, like Elves, do have 4 hobbits and those are not exactly tanks.

I agree on the Pippin in Gondor and Merry in Rohan thing, but that would mean we'd lose the hobbits together and more importantly we'd never see the cool mounting on Treeberd =p I'm not saying I don't like the idea, I just gave a lot of effort once to get them up there and I'd hate to lose that ability =/

However: If we do that, we could solve the Ring system more easily though... and use Frodo and Sam as "Ring Heroes" only, traveling from the fortress that captures the ring, across the map, and if they make it off screen without being "killed"/captured, the bad guys will die in XX minutes when they reach Mount Doom. (And if not, the Ring is once again up for grabs when Frodo drops it). Gosh, that would be cool... :xcahik_:

Like I said before, you seriously need to catch up on your reading about this mod...

- I am a Coder too, and I did everything in SEE up until Beta III. Then Sûl joined, and the mod grew into more advanced coding. I can add heroes and units, np. But I'd need him for coding such things like the new ring system, just like he did the new Gollum system in Beta 4.5 =P

Couldn't you bump the Nazgul (black riders) into a specialty calvary? And maybe keep one or two as fellbest types. That would knock down on Mordor's heroes.

Say 6 black riders and 2 fellbeasts

Or make 1 fellbeast, 7 black riders, and make the one fellbeast into what you have Drogoth at this time

Hehe I have thought a lot about something along those lines, but the thing is that I love having them as The 9 so I wouldn't wanna have them do separate things. I thought about it today, on the way to work... What if they're always a horde - all on feet, all on horses or all on fells. Not sure if that can be done easily, but it would open up for more variety of heroes in Mordor, and there are many Uruks and Orcs to choose from that would open up to having one leader for each type of orc...

I will never ever separate The 9 though... except that the WK would always have to be a single unit off course... but they will be in Modor and 9 in total. I'll check with Sûl if he thinks it could be possible to use them as a horde. The coding for the Nazguls are pretty advanced as it is

evil men need more heroes.... maybe if corsairs get added to them in the future they could get that corsair captain that talked to aragorn as well as captain jackson (corsairs did ally themselves with haradrim)

great to see wulf done as well.

as for the cave troll hero, will he get a name? maybe bert or smth like that from the hobbit (even though they're stone now) because his name should be different from the regular cave trolls. also, will he have a spear/chain toggle?

I agree with khamul, Evilmen need more heroes.Perhaps another Corsair Captain or Saleme Hasharin Assassins Leader.

Well they considered about him(Rohan cameo) but how would you name his "Rohan Cameo".


I think they might do "good Pete" as well as the bad. They weren't going to do all three versions, but I suggested that the drunk Pete in Bree should be put into the inns as a unit that hangs out there, but that can't be played (like the units that bargin in the markets). So, maybe all three will be...

Good idea about "drunk Pete", However i think it wasn't really important unless SEE will put him in.Atleast for the laugh. :xcahik_:
