While working on Mauhur I suddenly got the urge to redo Lurtz, since in Beta 4.5 he looks like he's been squashed between a rock and a hard place, lol.

And pheeew... this skin took about 4,5 hours to complete. Yeah, I'm slow... but I'm thorough  This is the best I can do with that low poly model. Still a bit better than the EA version I think :cool2:

Now, if only I can get Ugluk to match this... :crazed:

Doesn't anyone remember that Lurtz's right eye was twice the size of his other eye :crazed:. this still looks good, but the red look should be made a blackish, brownish color, with a lot of gear.

This is amazing!

The arrow is VERY close to the camera
ANd in game, they use darker textures. For this render I used the default EA texture for the arrow... Besides, you never ever see them still that way, hehe

About his color tint.. it kinda depends on the lighting in the movies. He look redish, brownish, greenish in different scenes, just like Mauhur looks blueish in the only scene we see him.

Brilliant! Absolutely brilliant!
Ignited into the world in a flash of lightning, it gleams faintly in the heart of its mother, wood. It begins as an ember, a mere wisp of heat and colour. Its chance of survival at this critical moment is minute, yet it fights on, against the unforgiving cold, against the depths of night and against its mortal enemy: rain.

He's a little red for my taste... In the movie he was a little more brown, and his armor was less saturate, more like black/dark brown.

Hope he doesn't look nasty next to the awesome uruk models.
Greetings, community.

Yeah, these uruk models are pretty low quality (low poly), and the new Uruk-hai army, based an CaH kicks ass compared to these. Unfortionately I couldn't get any good results using the CaH models for these armor-less uruks. They all looked like berserkers...

I'll work som more on the coloration of Lurtz's texture. Too bad I can't fix the cone shaped head(s) though (Lurtz, Ugluk, Mauhur...)

Excellent rendering of my favorite Orc into SEE quality, IMO he has the best EA skin
