I have seen the topic , not really what I had in mind for Dol Guldur . The faction is very powerful in spirits but .. not that much .

Things I really like is the Fortress Hero idea , tho I don't really think Smaug is the best choice and The ressurected units of different types .

If the first campaign mission is Lorien for the Dol Guldur faction just like normal evil mission 1...

Would you want Galadriel to just flee instead of fighting then fleeing?

Great ideas! I was wondering, since the models are already part of the original game, would this Dol Guldur faction be able to construct walls?

One Ring to rule them all, One Ring to find them, One Ring to bring them all and in the Darkness bind them.

Yes. I would want them to build walls, with all the fancy wall add-ons like good people.

Defense Tower (Arrow Tower)
Catapult (a catapult...)
Gate (...Gate...)
Shadowstep Door (Postern Gate)

:p I came up with the final version (or what should be one of the final versions) Power list for Dol Guldur.

Tier One - 5 Power Points

Black Crows

A murder of crows is summoned; revealing enemy stealth units. Enemies near the crows receive a penalty of -25% armor and damage.
  • Duration: 1 minute
Ghastly Chant
Targeted allies get a +50% bonus to armor and damage.
  • Duration: 1 Minute
Plague
Targeted enemy resource structure is automatically destroyed.
  • Duration: Instant

Tier Two - 10 Power Points

Rain of Arrows
All units in the area become bombarded with a volley of deadly arrows.
  • Duration: Instant
Scavengers
All kills generate resources.
  • Duration: Passive
Summon Spiders
Within the targeted area, spiders erupt from the ground, fighting for your cause.
  • Duration:Instant
Untamed Allegiance
If casted on a lair, you gain control of the lair and its creatures. You can build the lair’s perspective creatures.
  • Duration: Instant

Tier Three - 15 Power Points

Awaken Wyrm
Summons a dragon wyrm to the battlefield, breathing fire on opponents to ensure the chaos.
  • Duration: 1 Minute, 20 Seconds
Darkness
Covers the entire map in darkness, all allied units gain a +50% bonus to armor and damage.
  • Duration: 30 Seconds
Freezing Rain
All enemies are slowed, and they lose their leadership bonuses.
  • Duration: 30 Seconds

Tier Four - 25 Power Points

Summon Dragon
Summons a mighty fire-breathing dragon to the battlefield.
  • Duration: 1 minute, 20 seconds
Wrath of the Necromancer
Calls down a hail of unholy fire, damaging all units and structures in the radius.
  • Duration: Instant

Plague might be too much. Instant kill of buildings might cripple the early game. Maybe a small block of resource-generation might be better?
Other than that, good ideas for powers. :thumbsupsmiley: Most of them are already done or relatively easy to code in.
If the above post offended you in any way,
please take note that, until further notice, I don't care, so get lost.

Thank ya, Taralom. Maybe for Plague, targeted resource building is temporally disabled / unable to generate resources.

Yeah, sounds better :thumbsupsmiley:
Else you could just destroy the Fortress quite early..
