This is for hostees (and staff, but they already know) with a news forum whose news items appear on our frontpage (which should be all). As you can see, the news items on the frontpage are displayed as headings with a short excerpt. This excerpt is automatically generated, which does not always look very good. Luckily, you can define your own excerpt by adding it at the end of your newspost like so

[hexcerpt]Today we have released a new version of the mod. It's super cool, very awesome, mega wicked, ultra zing, fooking zang and really nice. It has new heroes, new units, new maps, new gameplay, new enemies and a new price tag. Download it now, from bittorrent, or our site, or usenet, or buy a cd.[/hexcerpt]

Guidelines:
- Make the excerpt informative, but not too long and inviting the visitor to read the rest of your newspost.
- Suggested length: 3-5 lines.
- Don't use markup (BBcode) or newlines in the excerpt
- Note that the text between the tags won't show up in the actual post.

Oh, and let us know if you're hosted but your news doesn't show on our frontpage.
