[Kur-zaz]

The game is currently translated into two languages: Russian and English. I am translating it into German now.

Does somebody wish to translate it into another language? I warn you that it is not easy. I'm working on German translation for 2 months alreagy (2 hours per day).

Hm, to bad there isnt any dutch version of Zero Hour. Would have helped you if there were My french sux and my German is just a new language for me, so I can only help with dutch V. Sorry :/

I bet that someone who knows a bit of German should be able to get the game completely translated with the use of an En-Ge dictionary and Babelfish.

i could transilate all words w/ babble fish and use my (little) germanknowlege to get good sentince build's
but on the other hand transilating a game sounds like (school) work and i'm not feeling like transilating the entire game in a week or so

I warn you that it is not 1 day task. Translating programs do not guarantee translation quality. You must read everything yourself. There are 4383 strings in this file. Do not try to translate them at once. Spend 1-2 hours per day and you will be able to finish this work in a month working together.


What to open with? MS Word or Open Office Writer will fit. Notepad does not open it correctly.


File structure. File contains strings like this: GUI:GameOptions GAME OPTIONS
"GUI:GameOptions" is marker. Do not change it.
"GAME OPTIONS" is inscription displayed in game. It must be translated.

This sign | means "Enter". Game will start a new string here. Example: "This unit|is very|cool." will be displayed as:

This unit
is very
cool.

This sign & means hotkey. Example: "&Gattling Tank". As you know, G is hotkey for Gattling tank. Do not change them. Hotkeys must always stay the same. The most probably, your words will not contain all needed letters. So, you can define hotkeys this way: "Gattling Tank (&G)". I recommend to put Hotkeys into brackets for whole translation.

PS: And yes, do not forget to coordinate your work.

tho i cant use transilation progams since the big difference in line build between both languages it wont be a big problem

dutch gamers dont wanna play dutch games

anyway i transilated 3 pages now(yes i'ts slow but i'm kinda bussy right now)

holy shit. 79 pages D: but some things can be simply CTRL+C CTRL+V'd it suxx that my ' doesnt work in odt D; will dump it on the PC of my dad to so that i can translate while watching TV. and i will ask if a guy who i know wants to help. shouldnt take to long if everything works out. and if i dont get bored now i think of it... i think i know what im doing this new years eve but im 13 years, and so i have school, anyway its the second time i do this level of teaching, so i dont think it will be very hard or much homework. i will consider this my homework instead. hmm. well it isnt to hard, but if you start under you have the descriptions of units and their upgrades. above are things like start game and back and exit game and more.


one question creator, does it matter if you change things like

or does that make the program unable to find the string?

I told you do not change markers.
OBJECT:LaserSniper - is marker.

So, it must be:
OBJECT:LaserSniper Sluipschutter

In general, marker is the part of a string before the first space.

It is not as terrible as you imagined. Almost half of strings contain just 1-2 words which need to be translated. So, those 79 pages are equal to 40 pages of normal text. And you need to translate only half becaulse Arcadian Daze halps you and will translate the second part. I recommend one of you to start from the beginning and another to start from the end. You will meet somewhere in the middle.

yea i started in the end. but i used the search and find and replace thingy, so i think that there are some things that i should put things back but ive got a V on this PC in which i didnt do that :3
