Allied air support

The Allied Longbow is vital in suppressing the often superior Soviet ground forces.
8 powerful anti vehicle missiles help allied ground troops to survive and even push back the overwhelming Soviet ground power.
Upgrade individual Longbows with chain-guns to help them suppress Soviet infantry as well.
Make no mistake the Allied generals need heroes everywhere if the war is to be won, who knows what the rewards might be for those who excel in combat?

Gameplay

The Longbow basically replaces the Orca.

It is very similar to the Orca by default except that it carries 8 missiles instead of 6 and is slightly slower, so the use is very similar to that of the Orca.
So you get more destructive power at the cost of speed and the extra time needed to load the extra 2 missiles!

Chain-gun upgrade
Each Longbow has the ability to individually upgrade their armament with a chain-gun.
This provides some very basic anti infantry capabilities for the Longbow.
It must be understood that this is very much a low grade solution, better than nothing.
If you're having serious infantry problems it is recommended that you use dedicated ground based solutions. If you are using groups of Longbows (say 4 or more) then I'd recommend the upgrade, definitely get it if a Longbow reaches the 'HEROIC' rank.
Please do not go facing multiple rocket squads armed with your chain-gun, they'll only laugh at you!

Heroic rank?

It is rumoured that those who distinguish themselves in the air catch the attention of the military top secret temporal intelligence division. This division was apparently set up in response to growing concern about the misuse and side effects of chronol and temporal warfare.
They now regulate all use of the Chronosphere in the war effort and have completely banned any time travel.
Heroes of the war would definitely be of use to such a group, theoretically they could give you a mission behind the enemy lines and simply 'chronoshift' you there and back, what a privilege it would be to help the war effort in this capacity!
While it may all be rumours surely it is worth excelling anyway for the freedom of the allied nations and for the suppression of communism
