Mount Boom! (look at your sig, boy :D ) ... that's what Sauron called it himself:

This place sucks. Watching out from the top window I can see only slag and ashes. I much preferred our old block in Mirkwood Towers. At least there was green to be seen.
It was my wife, of course, who wanted to move here. Mirkwood Towers was too much frequented by travelling salesmen, she said. Plus, the last one, a dwarf, stole a map and a key. But I think what she really disliked about our flat was Moggie the Bullfrog's estate across the River, in Moria. True, I have been more often there than at home. But where else would I go?
Mount Boom smells again like a thousand years' egg. I wonder what the cook is preparing for lunch today.

Rohan. I speak the language upon which theirs is based and I like horses, so I'm set.
I hope I am a good enough writer that some day dwarves kill me and drink my blood for wisdom.

The Shire, definitely. Perfect countryside, close to the elves and the sea, a bit of wilderness surrounding it, cosy accommodations. Friendly people, the nearby growing hustle and bustle which is the restored kingdom or Arnor, and fine food (and you'll never find a beer so brown as the one they drink in their hometown).

I could go on, but I've made my case.
I will remember Rhovanion Alliance, RIP .

Ithilien probably, after Faramir and Eowyn returned to it. Or Rivendell. Love me some mountains

I'd live in Andrast, particlularly the City of Ras Morthil. It's right there at the beach, one day hike north and there is create skiing, 2 days travel east and you have canoeing on the Lefnui River.

Taxes are cheap and you have all of Gondor to the east to get run over before the Dark Lord fusses with you.

Rivendell because of how fair it is, Dol Amroth because of my love of the sea, or Rohan for the open plains.
Wait... what?

Well Rivendell, the Shire and such would be great, but there's a reason they're not very crowded: Not For Humans
Limiting myself to human places, Ithilien would be pretty nice for it's environment, or Dol Amroth for being a city (and near the sea, so beats MT)

I'd go for The Shire... cause it looks so darn cozy, but the women are too small for me unfortionately :)
Besides, I'm such a wreck mentally anyways, so I might as well go for Minas Morgul or similar, and get a black robe n cape at once... maybe I'd even get one of those smelly things with wings and fly around looking for a piece of jewlery... how stupid isn't that? :D

Seriously, I like The Shire... green hills, good food, and nice ppl =)

There's a better view from Isengard. Through the Palantir. :p It's basically Google Middle Earth.

And the people are either scared of or not interested in strangers. You'd end up feeling alone <3
