Wormhole travel, sure it's possible, but to have one open up in your basement, liviingroom, or small military base is not. There isn't anything that can CONTAIN such energy and gravity force. It's like having pocket wormholes... wanna goto Alpha Centauri, just pull it out and open up. The intense gravity force will pull you apart. You have to be going faster than light to survive one. As nothing goes faster than light. (that we know of)

That's why the concept of "Folding" space is so interesting. Suddenly it makes travel faster than the speed of light possible. I've heard ppl are already doing the math on the possibility of folding space.

DeathScythe: I cannot say much, but I can relate my own tale, which in some small way, may help you to feel better:

I am 19 this year, and never had a gf. Come december, got a christmas card from a girl I used to know(as a friend, yes I was the guy with female FRIENDS) asking if I wanted to go out with here. Great so far. However, the problem is, what if she hadn't gotten up the courage to ask me out? Then where would I be? Just another loner, too afraid to ever ask someone if they want to go out and do something, stuck to my computer all day(not that that is a bad thing, of course) and being miserable. Just go for it, don't let this chance slip away, because you are only this old once, you cannot live life on the edge of fear. Jump, you will be all the better for it. As Forrest Gump once said: Life is like a box of chocolates. And as I replied: Yeah, they are always full of all the nuts!

In other words, go for it. What have you got to lose? Sure, dignity, but if you cannot even gather up the courage to ask this girl out, then I doubt you have much of that to begin with. No, I am not insulting you, just stating a fact that I have long kept hidden, even from myself. Life is for the living, so go and live it. As for this other girl, ask yourself this: Why are you attracted to her? Is it because you like how she looks, how smart she is, or is it just hormonal lust? Don't let IT rule your life, think with your brain, and it will actually go somewhere with whichever your brain says is the better one, not just the one that looks good.

I think I got it, if you don't get a girl, you'll wind up being some loner, in your parents basement, (if they/you don't have one, you'll build one) and creat wormhole technology! SCHEISSE! GOT ME A NEW SUPER WEAPON!

Something else just came to mind, I have a girl, and I live on the third floor of the only three stroy building in this apartment complex! HAH.

chemical ali: Are you obsessed with Sadism? geez. She is dark... in spirit, but sadistic, I am unsure, then again we all have sadistic moments. I go through moods... right now I am in one of rage and calm... the rage induces sadism. However, I have an extreme amount of self control. if I lose it... i'll just stab my door/wall. I'll just repair it later. I have found no one, of a low human pure detestable scum/evil, to feel my purity of rage upon them.
