Well i post this topic because i was bored

post what is youre favorite and stupidest hero in the movies.

my opinion:

favorite: Gimli, i like his talking. All that stupid jokes and the comments about elves.

stupidest: Denethor, i hate that awful man. He looks stupid and act stupid.


P.S.: Sometimes i think Legolas is gay...

Denthor for wasting lots of cavalry
Frodo i just cant stand him ..
Treebeard ..same reason as frodo and he cut the helms deep scenes in lots of pieces

No offense CTLN7 but they did that on purpose to build the tension

My favorite guy is:
Faramir with his ithilien rangers
He can fight with sword, bow and can ride on a horse

I hate Denethor for trying to kill faramir he's crazy!

Movies, I like Boromir

And dislike Frodo, probably... he seems like such a whimp, and there's really no obvious reasons show in the movie to indicate the ring getting heavier and heavier and the likes... So in the movies, he just appears as a whimp

Dudes, am I the only Aragorn fan here? Or is this a 'let's root for the minor characters to show how much we know about the franchise' kind of thread? Aragorn is awesome. He can kill anything, up to and including trolls and ring wraiths, he can lead a defeated nation to victory, he can heal people just by touching them, he scored an elven princess and he's got excellent hair. Aragorn for the win.

Least favourite: any of them bastard orcs. I'm old fashioned, I root for the good guys.

My favorite hero is Legolas , so serious , so fierce ,best archer , blond..... from Mirkwood .

I can't really I say I hate anyone , Denethor was ... well.... driven by evil thoughts ....

Aragorn is kinda awesome but he has nothing special. The WK has his helmet and mace. Gimli his great axe. Boromir the horn of Gondor. Gandalf/Saruman powers. And Aragorn has a normal sword. So i think Aragorn is cool. but for a hero kinda normal.

And i agree about Haldir CTLN7. If i imagine a picture of an elf i see haldir. And the mouth of sauron scares me
he should really brush his mouth


O and Valaquenta, i really like that shot of legolas in moria. right trough the head of an orc against the wall.

Saruman. Firstly because I do a good impression of him, and secondly he reminds me a wee bit of Kurtz in Heart of Darkness, my favourite novella.

Yea Sam is cool But the Balrog is cooler, if he may be considered a hero? Or the Kind of the Dead, who apparently uses hacks, preventing enemies from being able to hurt him...

Elves... Men in tights IMO, I generally just ignore them... So no you are not the only one

Ummmm.... Aragorn had far from a normal sword. He had the fucking sword that CUT THE RING FROM SAURON'S HAND. That > Gimli's axe anytime.

Oh, and from the movies? Probably Sam. All the heros that actually fought at Helm's Deep (the trio and Haldir) are pretty awesome.
Books, it's Faramir, and again Sam. And maybe Glorf.

Also, healing hands of a king! Come on! Think of it this way: he is just a man (well, Dunadain) but despite that obvious handicap he is still just as awesome as anyone else and does all those things I mentioned before. And in the books he was way too badass to get pulled off a cliff by some bastard warg rider. That never happened.

Why do you guys all like Haldir? If there was ever a character to whom the word 'wiener' applies, it's him. Although I do like the face he pulls when Aragorn hugs him at Helm's Deep. You know, sort of "Yes, nice to see you too, but this armour is shiny and you.... smell. Really rather awful." Apart from that he's just a douchebag. And in the book he wasn't even at Helm's Deep, so who cares.

The fact that Elves were at Helm's Deep in the Movies offered us moders a new Elven Design *yay* .

Well Haldir was the Captain of Lothlorien's Guards ....But I still don't like him as Lego .

I like Gollum ,and Saruman too ,theyr cool .
