I like all hobbits except Frodo, Gollum, Faramir and Saruman, Frodo is a softie, Sam and Gollum are funny (sometimes), just like Merry and Pippin. Faramir is played by David Wenham, which is one of my more favourited actors :p. And I simply like Saruman's voice :xcahik_:.

As I said: I hate Frodo. ;)

I love Merry and Pippin, and very much like Sam... It's just Frodo that comes out to much a whimp :p

Also, I don't think Saruman would've managed to play Sauron if it wasn't for the ents... He would've crushed Rohan and gone to get others, but Sauron would probably have kicked his ass afterwards :xcahik_:

Also, Sauron has the Nazgul and, assuming that by this point he and Saruman have won the day and seized control of Middle Earth, he also has the ring of power. Sauron would crush Saruman, though it pains me to reflect on the defeat of Sir Christopher Lee, CBE, that most awesome of men.

Ringy, you're also forgetting millions of orcs, trolls, mumakil, and men of harad, rhun, and umbar> tens of thousands of uruk-hai and men of dunland. Owned.

I'm pretty sure they don't have millions of mumakils and trolls. And plus Saruman would just make more Uruk-hia which are better armored and skilled.
Favorite characters, Aragorn, Legolas, Gimli, and Gandalf because they own everyone :) I dislike Boromir and Denethor.

Favourite hero... probably Boromir. His seduction and redemption, as well as his earlier actions in defense of his country, really made him into a princely, but not perfect, character. I felt like he got one of the fairest treatments in the adaptation.

My most disliked character would have to be Legolas, simply because Orlando Bloom is a terrible actor if there is no angst involved in the role.

And can you little boys please get over the 'gayness' of some characters? If you act like that just in regards to hugs of fellowship among men, then don't even bother reading the books. I feel sadly confident that your small minds won't comprehend why there are songs (or why they are important) in the text.

Collectivly Spart. Millions of all those put together. Anywho, a few dozen armoured trolls with orc-backup would lay waste to just about any isen force. Add in a mumakil or two, some heavily armed rhun soldiers (who I would argue are better than uruk-hai), and maybe landing some corsairs behind the isen force, and they'll be swept quite easily.

And Saruman didn't make the Uruk-hai. Yes he did in the movie but what the hell, that scene was rediculous beyond words.

Weren't the Uruks of Isengard some kind of crossbreed?
I forgot the part in the book where it was pointed out.

While my faith in the world's ability to proper capitalisation slowly diminishes. Valaquenta, there are seven inappropriate capital letters in the above post. For each one, I hate you.

Also, what did you expect? This is a forum full of people who know shitloads of useless trivia about LotR. Of course they're going to bring it up.
