Well I'm shocked. I didn't know people lived past 50 in the Ukraine.
... with the tool.Top regional official Michal Hasek apologized Zdenka Kopeckova, 66, and said Monday that the region, which is in charge of the clinic, plans to compensate her...

however we have also some morons like these... I know it from my own experience (my previous eye doctor once wrote wrong dioptries by mistake, but eye doctor I visit for few last years is much better, she did some accurate tests and really fixed my eyes as far it's possible with glasses).
However these accidents are rare and happens in any country.
If I had 80% of my skin burned, I would survive (unless I was considered to be too insignificant) - that gipsy girl survived despite such injuries,
if I decided to go on LASIK, I would have big chance of being without glasses for some... 10 years (big chance means I study IT),
sometimes I think don't start using one Czech invention - soft lenses.
However you can't expect proper medical treatment here if you don't go to specialist in some cases (burns, carpal tunnel syndrome)...
Also we don't have worse medical treatment that the USA (which had also nearly-cyborg expresident).
But don't worry, doctors are dying out faster than major population in general...
EDIT:
what have the Ukrainians have to do with this?I didn't know people lived past 50 in the Ukraine.
We are in the heart of Europe, western Slavics (well if I took it genetically, we are Paneuropeans),
we have good footballists and hockeyists (if there are motivated),
Kateřina Sáblíková, girl which trained on frozen ponds, won Olympic ice-skate race on 3km yesterday,
oldest people here have around 110 years (average lifespan is 72/79yr M/F),
the Czech Republic belongs to advanced countries (36th due to imported crisis, well brothers Slovaks will probably be above CZ in few years due to economically damaged Germany),
Western Poland, Lusatia, eastern Austria, Slovakia, Carpathian Ruthenia were lands the Czechs owned in some era and were fighting for against Germans or crusaders, Kaliningrad was settled by Ottokar II of Bohemia (his murder meant Habsburgs created center-European empire instead of Přemyslids)

And there was no American Budweiser beer parody in 14th century!
Robot, howitzer(arguments with Germans), pistol(arguments with Italians), Tatra, Liaz, Škoda (*sigh* another reason to hate privatization),
Avast, ARMA, medicine,...
I hope you meant that line as sarcasm... because many Czechs hate Ukrainians and Russians. Some of them even in such fascist way like black people in Africa against anyone white, many Brits against anyone east from Germany or many Slovaks against Hungarians.

PRAGUE - It took five long months for a Czech woman to discover the reason for her pain: Doctors had left a foot-long medical tool inside her abdomen.
I don't know what else to say...

Romanul: It's 98% Volkswagen, there's practically nothing left from original Škoda, it's even constructed by Germans...
Škoda Octavia = old VW Passat
Also I wonder what will happen to Southkorean division of Chevrollet (since Daewoo made great cars).

In Romania,Daewoo factory was buyed by Ford after it went bankrupt(although Daewoo is a part of Chevrollet, the Romanian factory still made Daewoos. And,TBH,they're pretty shitty, tbh. In the end,it doesn't matter whether its design or shit,as long as a company is productive(such as Skoda and Dacia),no matter who's the boss there:
1.More companies are created. Its essencial,as they produce parts such as tires and other stuff.
2.More companies -> More jobs and more money to the state budget.Companies such as Skoda and Dacia bring a hell lot of money to the budget of the country.Especially Dacia(as Dacia,in the middle of the crisis, sold the most cars IIRC.),'cause they're cheap and good. Not to mention, that the Germans, when they first heard of Logan, they were like "oh,that shitty car...".Now most sales of Dacia go to Germany. And Germans don't seem to protest against the car,as its good.Nor the guys from Top Gear

Oh no... Spielberg lived in Romania when he was younger and when someone was interviewing him, he said, "I loved my days in the Ukraine." When he was later bashed because he had never been in the Ukraine. ... That was a complicated reference.Ah ha, that last Indy movie I haven't seen?
