When I played Skirmish with the Computer AI as an ally something odd happens. They do their normal routine, go out, scout, build mines, attack, etc. But while I'm doing the same and finally get enough credits to upgrade, the buttons are both faded. I figured the AI was upgrading them. About five minutes later, they are STILL faded out and the enemy has already upgraded. Any ideas?

The AI seems to either have a much larger queue than the player, or an unlimited one. So what they do is queue up a ton of ships with the upgrade mixed in. I advise to not play with an AI, or get to the upgrade before they do.

And the AI gets to the upgrade in a matter of seconds, so you pretty much have to queue it right away.

No interface means unlimited queue. Need to rewrite AI to purge the queue when upgrading becomes desirable, if that's even possible - it could take a bigger overhaul to accomplish the same thing.
