This thread is for any discussion about the mod, gameplay, tactics etc.

What's the best way to beat the Dwarves? What new units work best? What do you like, what don't you like? Any sensible suggestions for future releases?

It is not a balance thread or a place to post bugs or problems.

My biggest suggestion for the mod is to add more of the old RA stuff to the mod, though I'm sure this is in the works anyways. The biggest issue with the mod is that the few changes to the original factions apart from re-skins combined with the lack of Dwarven AI (I think) make me far more likely to play TEA if I want to play any faction aside from Erebor.

Dwarves have AI. But it hasn't been tested much, so I have no idea what they do after the early game period. Early game period, they spam warriors a lot!

Easy army of erebor in skirmish does nothing. Hard army makes warriors, but not as intensely as the other factions.

They have AI on many of the new maps. Most of my maps and all of Haldir's.

I played against a Hard Dwarven AI on Minas Morgul.
And they were far more effective than a Gondor AI for example, at least in early game.
Don't know what they do in late game.

But here a suggestion though:
I noticed that the Erebor AI builds too many Halls (building for the Elites).
When I was in the castle of Morgul, they (had also the map control, I wanted to see what they will do) couldn't attack me because they simply didn't build any Workshops to construct siege machines, instead they had too many of those halls.

And the AI of the four originals (well, Gondor in particular) are too weak. I noticed that especially the Gondor AI is really kinda slack, especially in early game. I know that this was already the case in the vanilla game and is not your fault, but making them a bit stronger would be quite cool and much more fun. :)

Just curious, RA had it's own Eomer model and skin. Why are you guys using Celeglin's?

My one suggestion (apart from fixing bugs etc) is to add the RA animation for the Mordor catapult, you know, the one with the troll loading it. That would be just epic.

I did originally add it when I coded all the vanilla stuff, but Nert didn't add it to the mod. There are a few limitations with it, especially regarding fireballs and skull toggles.

Yeah, I evaluated it, and it just didn't work that well. Not to say there aren't animations in the mod that are just as bad, but this object takes up so much screen real eastate that when it looks bad, it looks BAD :sleep:.

Wow, this mod is really great!

I hope you guys decide to include at least some of the new units you made for Rhovanion Alliance in future releases, especially for Mordor. :sleep:

It's inaccurate, and I have a problem with putting stuff of mine I don't like in the mod when I have alternatives.

Well, I guess if it looks bad when actually in the game, then don't put it in. I just thought it was one of the best ideas in any mod ever, that's all.

But can you at least replace the EA orcs pulling the catapult with the RA orcs then?
They just look awful beside the other units of Mordor. :p
